  • We convert double integrals into polar coordinates in this video. We are only given a sum of two double integrals in rectangular coordinates. If we are to calculate this sum, it is difficult!
    But, if we convert it into polar coordinates, we can do the calculation more easily, as you can see in this video!

    Beautiful explanation. Showing the graph with the rays was extremely useful.

      Thank you! Yes, the graph is super helpful when it comes to setting up double and triple integrals!

    Hello sir, excellent video. I’m having trouble understanding how to get the theta bounds. I know you get it from the r bounds but how do you know what quadrant it’s in? Thank you!

    • @GlassofNumbers
      @GlassofNumbers  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bounds for theta are based on the region drawn. And the region drawn is based on the original integrals combined together

    Sorry but with the point you chosed isnt it supposed to be π/4?

    • @GlassofNumbers
      @GlassofNumbers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Since the region covers the first quadrant, it will be pi/2

    Sorry but you didn't finish the final equation... what limits do you set for the #2 function then?

    • @GlassofNumbers
      @GlassofNumbers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is already finished. There is only one double integral set up combining the two given integrals.
