Apart from a new composite wing to allow a stretch beyond the A321, there is possibly little that Airbus can do without the next generation of engines. Regarding the current A320 series, even if Airbus went back to the drawing board to create the lightest and most aerodynamic airframe, without the next generation of engines, will they be able to achieve the double digit efficiency improvements the market expects? You only have to look at how close the A330neo and A350 are to realise that it is the engines that really matter.
I love these small, economical planes. They also have a second hand market, like south america or africa unlike the a380 that is being retired even though it's brand new.
@@johannessamuelsson6578 If Embraer did have the finances to design a 757-767 replacement it would actually be a good decision because the NMA market is wide open.
Airbus has the dominance and the best plane in every sector of the market. What should they renew first?Narrowbodies to replace the a320 family or widebodies to replace the A330 below the A350? Both (as a clean sheet project) seem like a huge undertaking for markets that Airbus is already doninating with very modern planes
While the couch pilots are fighting in the comments, I just hope that if Airbus makes a Zero Emission Aircraft, they should call it the "E300" or something 😂😂😂
Stop riding the airbus meat. These are mere rumors about a new plane, and that "zero E" plane in the thumbnail is not feasible unless it uses hydrogen combustion or something wild like that. and bringing them up over and over again is boring. Airbus wont make anything new until they work out their huge backlog and engine problems. Same as Boeing wont make the 797 or the 777X until they pull themselves out of the dirt. We already know about the supply chain and don't need to hear it over and over.
Why are there these new plane rumours every couple of weeks when these TH-camrs have no news. The topic has been exhausted.
I suppose that eventually it will be true!
These films are made so that you can make a comment.

Why didn’t AB make the 350 as modern as the 787 🤔
Airbus must ensure the quality of their aircraft first and foremost and never lose that focus.
Thanks Dj!!

There are zero emission aircraft. They are called gliders.
Just shut off the engines on an a320 and you have the ZERo-E jet 🤣
Maybe a clean-sheet NMA to replace 757-767s and fill the VERY LARGE gap between the A321XLR and the 787-8+A330-800 would be a good move.
Enter Embraer, I think. Weird Sounds weird but would be cool nonetheless.
There is not a large gap. There is already A330-800 which is not selling.

787-8 allready filled the gap, now its killed the sale of itself and any plane trying to be it

😂 What a joke
No news is just that, no news. Which ever way you look at it.........

Don't know that the next Airbus will be clean sheet - the low-hanging fruits are the A350-2000 and A220-500...
Ditto for Boeing. Why are you picking on Airbus, Dj? But Airbus are getting their aircrafts certified. A220 neo. A350 2000. But next up is the A350f.
Air bus going from strength to strength I cannot see Boeing coming anywhere near due to the trouble they are having with the aircraft and delays
No news at all
No, is the short answer!
