Have you ever fished Lake Aeroflex in Andover NJ? It's stocked with Landlocked Salmon. It's one of the deepest lakes in NJ too and rarely freezes over in winter. The fish hang out in the deep where it's warmer

I’m stuck in Long Branch the no fish zone. OLD AGE IS SETTING IN WAY TOO FAST FOR MY LIKING. WAY TOO FAST. I really miss throwing suicks and Boucher tails. Got 5 ,years ago on the Delaware just north of the GAP. You can tune a piano but you can’t tuna fish.

They were part of a "stocking program". I wish I were able to confirm what year they were introduced. IDK? The largest landed on record was @ 19lbs 41". Caught in 1997.... As far as I know... The last time there was a confirmed catch. Was 2003. They are supposed to be unable to reproduce. Do you think...that.. they no longer "exist" in my local lake? Also. Why do you think they do in the lake your targeting them? Thanks. Happy New Year!
I think they are sterile also so I’m not really sure if they could keep a population going unless they kept stocking them. The lake I fished I know they’ve stocked them in there for awhile but if they don’t naturally reproduce the population is probably smaller then say the population of pure Musky on a bigger lake where they reproduce. Are you gonna trout fish Soon or holdover stripers in the Housatonic don’t get carried away with musky and walleye please! As well as if you go fish the Housatonic make sure to try the Housatonic lure company’s housy minnows all sizes and colors are great 👍 they have caught me about 95% of my fish this season.

Yes I know very little about the lake I fished but when your toes are numb and you’ve been on the water for hours the anticipation for something builds. Now it sounds like your whining. sk8rdad yeah I use to fish there as a kid caught some big bass out of there and some trout but just haven’t gone back.
How about the Paulinskill Viaduct? I see a lot of guys wading there to fish. Mostly fly.
