Excellent! Thanks for the insight into the logic behind the settings! I’ve noticed the effect of the take when I adjust it every time I change the height of cut.

A great video. I think the grass rake is a great idea. I can’t wait to get my Kensington 20H. I’ve had a Hayter 56 and want to go to the next level. Great channel, I’m hooked 👍🏼

If you use the front roller with the rake, you're essentially pushing and bending the grass in the same direction twice before it gets cut no? so won't you be cutting the grass at an angle rather than upright?

Which cartridge do you think is most effective on Yorkshire fog? Scarifier or verticutter? I have both. Thanks.

Hi Austen I love my Kensington 20” would this be the reason it seems to be laying my grass over than cutting it also struggles to pick out the longer grass lengths weeds ?? could the grass rake still be in the same position even though I have lowerd the cylinder just recently it seems to be laying the grass instead of cutting it cleanly where am I goin wrong ?Thankyou and all the best tom

It will be yes. You’ll just need to put the wheels on once and give it a cut and then you’ll be fine. You may be cutting grass that’s too long for your cylinder in general? Also check your cylinder is cutting paper all the way across the blade. Make sure you grass rake isn’t set too deep

@@ALLETTMOWERSUK ok Thankyou I have it set at 2.5 I think it could be the rake I’ll look into it tomorrow it’s definitely not the blade it’s razor sharp and cuts paper perfectly that was my first port of call thanks for speedy reply all the best tom

@@tombuck6178 I think once you have that lateral growth cut you’ll keep on top of it
A Verticut cartridge may help with the lateral growth too if you haven’t got one already

How do these mower operate on brick or concrete mowing strips around a lawn . How close to a patio wall can they go without damaging mower . Thanks in advance

They’re fine on flat concrete - you can go as close to the patio wall as you can without scraping it

20mm HOC, 12mm rake height, that’s 8mm below the HOC... yet you say to set it only 2-5mm below. Which is correct?

He goes on to say 15mm, which I'm assuming is to the end of the tine?

I find it easier to stand the mower on a level flat surface and adjust the rake so it lies on the surface and then back off by a couple of MM

Yes or you can tip it back on the handlebars

Well...... I like the rake idea 'very much....... but I would have thought if the front roller flattens the blades of grass.... then the rake will just stand up the blades that happened to have flattened out and laying backwards and push forward the blades laying flat in a forwards direction so I wonder if its of limited value and possibly what you'd want is instead of a rake..... you'd want a small brush in a cylinder configuration that spins in the opposite direction to the front roller to really stand up those blades of grass before they enter the cutting cylinder.....?? - something for R&D maybe....? just a thought - fabulous looking mower I'm sure i cant afford one.... - all the best!!

Hi the front roller is basically instead of wheels so you don’t have wheel marks - your rear roller is what does the striping.
