Man, Tony was left hanging, twice. That's where the brutal lines come from, deep anger in his soul.
He's very insecure...Classic narcissist, finding a way to prey on people when they are at their most vulnerable state!! Tony is very capable of hosting the show and this gives him a feeling of control. Yet he lacks the ability to regain control when comedians on the panel or members of the band speak over him, or if they continue to ask their own questions when Tony is wanting trying to ask his own. Instead he just stares at them from behind with evil intent in his eyes and chooses to sulk in silence, instead of having the ballsf to speak up and take the power back. If you watch at 38:57 when Joe is making Tony feel uncomfortable, he covers his neck with his hand. He does this regularly. That's a primal defence mechanism we do when threatened. Effectively protecting a very vulnerable part of the human body. (Yeah I notice this kinda shit haha)

That's a fair point. I more so wrote that right after I listened to an old O&A where Patrice was going off about how pretty girls don't NEED to be funny; where as if you're unattractive you NEED to be funny (or have something interesting about yourself)
I don't remember exactly what they were saying but I think they were basically shitting on various female comedians, specifically Iliza Schlesinger for having big tits.
So I just figured he would have thrown an element of that rant into this episode or he atleast would have done that 'sweet' talk voice and then shat on her when she doesn't act interested. Idk. At the end of the day neither of us can say what that dude would have done.. I would still have loved to see it though

Some people don't get how humour works and just get lucky sometimes. Then when those times happen, they think they have it on lock and just bomb after because they got confident. It's whenever somebody has major confidence in something they know nothing about where they fail the most. I haven't seen this part yet, but I've been mulling this point around for a bit now, and I really think that some people just aren't aware enough to be funny on purpose. Whether it's self awarenesses, or the awareness of how other people see you. Or just never exercising thinking in a creative way. It's just sort of weird how some people have no grasp on what makes something funny, and then there's people that are super good. And neither group is necessarily more intelligent than the other. Think about old British scientists. Probably have no sense of humour, but still smart as shit.
