A terrible rating is actually a good thing for a player's first NFL start. It gives Laumea a lot of film to study, and he now knows what he needs to drill and practice to improve.
@@brianmyers4444 PFF has people who watch and grade every play. Is it somewhat subjective? Sure. Sometimes they don't understand assignments or roles in specific play calls. Our special teams was just atrocious out of nowhere in that game, if it wasn't for that we would have beat the Jets 26-7. Our defense only really allowed one scoring drive.
Ryan Grubb might be in over his head as an OC for a pro team. His inability to get the running game going with as talented a back as K9 is criminal negligence. If Grubb can't figure out the pro game then the offense has no hope of improving until they find a more seasoned OC who can do the pro job.
The young O linemen need to develop. It’s too early to even be giving final judgements on Anthony Bradford of all players. But we do need a good veteran player on the interior.
It's never too early to be judging Anthony Bradford because the dude wasn't even suited up to play in this game because he was injured. Players who play poorly and commit as many penalties as Bradford who can't even be counted on to stay healthy enough to play should be judged on their lack of positive contributions when they're on the field. A judgement can and should be made on their regression and lack of progress as detrimental to the team. They'd be better off getting cut loose to do their damage to another team instead of the seahawks.
Olu and Laumea are still quite young and inexperienced. Olu has only played in like 10 games and Laumea is a rookie. Give them time to develop. I've seen Olu body defensive linemen all the way into the turf by TH-camrs who analyze film on the Seahawks. Dude is a beast.
Olu and Laumea have both been such total disappointments simply because they exemplify how Schneider does not seem capable of drafting and developing competent interior linemen. Laumea shouldn't be anything more than practice squad material and they're only playing him because their 3rd round pick Christian Haynes has been such a bust at right guard that they haven't even had him activated for games. Blowing 3rd round draft capital on OL duds is a giant deficiency of the seahawks braintrust. And if Olu were any good they would have played him much earlier instead of getting beat out by Evan Brown last year and having to trade for damaged goods Connor Williams this year who quit the team in the middle of the season.
It's Wierd because Laumea was pushing people and getting to the 2nd level....yet just absolutely poor rating....seems odd. The Oline looked pretty good over all, and Walker did break for a few good runs, but penalties brought a great run back.
@@Toxyethanol It might have to do with the net result of the penalty. Sanchez pointed out that the 5 yard penalty on a run that K9 ran for 10 yards was (in effect) a 15 yard net difference in the play. I think PFF might take that into account. It's like a 40 yard bomb that gets called back for holding - that penalty is a little more important than the holding penalty that results in an incomplete pass on 3rd down and gets declined.
If he were more than capable of being a starter he wouldn't have gotten beat out by Evan Brown for the starting job last year and they wouldn't have had to emergency trade for damaged goods Connor Williams this year who wasn't even motivated to play through the season. Jets have been a decent rush defense except against the best rushing teams. We rushed as well as Vikings or Colts vs. Jets and both those teams run better than us on average. Overall, I thought we blocked better, a step in the right direction.

@GreenBeanGreenBean As I said people like you should not be taken seriously. Since Geno has been the starting QB for the Seahawks the defense has been atrocious for the most part. It's only been since the Rams game that the defense has started to play great. Before that game the defense was one of the worst in the league.
