When i am trying to click on Playground. It is trying to refresh the page and after the refresh, it again asks me to link my org. What could be the possible reason for this?

Have a couple of questions here.
1. Latest we have ES9 standards in place, are we into that standards already or only up to ES6?
2. Now we are implementing lwc on current web standards, what if the web standards get updates in the next couple of years? Does Salesforce make changes on that and developer has to redo on the development of lightning components?

how to populate picklist value with custom metadata, i am unable to set values for the same, using apex
something like this

Click Link to your org on the far right side of the page. Once you link your org, the Playground tab shows up. I just now figured this out.
