On some occasions the engine oil pressure alarm comes on even though the engine does have oil.
It is important that the oil pressure sensor works correctly because in case of oil loss the engine could be damaged due to failure of the oil pressure alarm.
It is easy and quick to test the operation of the oil pressure sensor.
With a cable we can quickly test whether or not the oil pressure sensor works, we disconnect the sensor cable and connect our test cable, we make contact with the car chassis and the oil pressure alarm should go off.
Thus we prove that the oil pressure sensor is damaged and we must change it.
