  • This POV bicycle ride covers route 3 from Valencia's Bicimetro list. The directions on this list are really difficult to follow, so I have made a video so you can actually see the route. The route takes us from the Ayora metro station to the Alboraya Palmaret metro station.
    Use the follow up to this video if you want to head straight back into the Valencia city center. You can also take a side journey to Port Saplaya.
    This video is intended to show the route and assist with identifying landmarks along the way. Sprinkled in is a little history of the region. Enjoy!
    SPECIAL THANKS
    Thanks for the feedback on the video, Christine MacMillan and Tony Ouyang!

    I absolutely loved your bike video touring the Greater Valencia area... Spectacular!! I am retiring in about one to two years and very much want to retire in Spain. And I think Valencia will be my 1st choice... Watching you video gets me excited for my retirement. And I love to bike as well...although I think I will be getting a decent "e-bike" when moving here!! I can't wait to see more of your videos sir... Is there a chance you might be willing to do a tour covering the L' Oceanografic Aquarium park area...? That would be awesome...
    Thanks again...I thoroughly enjoyed your HD video of Valencia Spain

      I’m really happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I have several videos covering that area that are being edited. One that goes from L’Oceanografic Aquarium to Albufera. The other is from the Marina tram station, through Turia, and ending at the Benimamet Metro.
      The very next one that is near completion covers the school commute we did from El Carmen to a school in Russafa.
      Valencia is the best and we will be moving back within 5 years permanently. By far the best place to retire and live without a car. I could go on and on about that.

      In Barcelona it is very crowded and quite dangerous here it is very calm in comparison. Even parking on bike lanes is very often in bc. This is clear winner.

    Bravo, nice channel and video! As a fellow American, I lived in Madrid for a stint about 10 years ago but was not really into biking at the time, and would have thought it risky to bike around there, but this is impressive and tempting to come and see in person and ride around.

      Madrid is such a different city for biking. We went there a few times while we were in Spain and the bike infrastructure was really unimpressive. We will be going there this summer. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

    Was ready for a nice ride through Valencia, but you sped it up.

      I hear ya. Many others do the regular speed ride. I wanted to share the whole ride, but can’t put out as many videos if I have to write 2x as long scripts.
      My newer ones aren’t as sped up though, as I’m using my e-bike now and I’m more confident I won’t lose you if I shut up for a little bit. 😁

    Wow Great Video! I am hoping to visit Spain someday and I want to stay in Valencia. I also love to go biking, so I definitely have to do some biking while I'm there. This video was very informational and helpful, so thank you. I look forward to more of your videos. Thanks again!

    Great ride... try to go to Seville... Wonderfull and very long cycle paths all around the city!

      Funny you should suggest Seville....I was there the month before I started the channel. I tried recorded from the bike lanes with my phone and I learned that I needed to use a GoPro. I will DEFINITELY be back to record that fantastic city.

    Great video, loved the tour, is Cullera flat as well with bike lanes?

    • @thegreenwaywithmac
      @thegreenwaywithmac  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately I never made it down to Cullera, so I can’t answer your question. My next video from the area will be Turia Park, followed by El Saler (albufuera) and Xurra Greenway (to Puçol).

    Just a spelling error: "Veles i Vents" in the Valencian language.
    Great video.

    It is dangerous to ride on these bike lanes in Valencia. These scooters should be banned.

    • @thegreenwaywithmac
      @thegreenwaywithmac  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It’s hard to speak for everyone. I think that the scooters are fine. Cars are much more dangerous.

      IMHO bike lanes taking the sidewalks by default is the big mistake. But it's open to debate and depends on the streets. @@thegreenwaywithmac
