Zombieland was good for a first watch. After the first time seeing it the awe of a new zombie movie wears off and I'm left realizing I'm watching a road movie/love story with zombies tying it together. Kind of disappointing. Though State of Decay 2 is going to be the shit. Can't wait. I've got over 100 hours in the OG version and just started playing the SOD:YOSE. Really looking forward to the MP aspects. Many of my friends skipped the first one since they only buy games with MP in it.

I agree with you in some aspects but I kind of like the fact that they focus really hard on building a good single player experience. If I have a hankering for multi I usually go for Last of us Factions or DayZ. This game can suck you deep into the single player immersive experience tho it's kind of like the specialty single player zombies game
+S H E L L S H O C K yea true...but you can't deny part of the "sucking you in" is the fact you literally do the same objective over and over just a different backdrop I.e Forrest vs farms vs towns..don't get me wrong I really liked how they made it how the survival aspect wasn't so realistic like dayz. I was more frustrated that they didn't add more to the premise of the game rather than climb water tower, survey, go to potential food, weapon, people sites, knock those 6-8 objective spots out then go to next water tower. Idk it just was that it didn't go past the simplicity of just water towers and saving people. With it not having a co-op / multiplayer it just droned on too long for me being by myself. Tho one thing that I really liked was the "infected" spots. I'll never forget the day I was climbing a water tower at night and slipped fell broke my leg and alerted a horde in the process..the fight for my life was epic. That was the day I fell in love with the game lol.
It will be awesome, and you will play it 200 hours despite the most terrible bugs. One year later, they will release an "HD" version where they only toggle bloom and blur on and fix the game-breaking bugs you ignored because the game is so good, and charge you full price. 10/10 will still buy because I have the brains of a zombie
One thing I just noticed is at 1:13, that base is a drive in theater. Look closely near the silos and you will see a sign. The first words aren't legible but under it I'm positive it says "Drive-In"
I'm being very observant and also noticed that the phrase "Bullets are the only cure" appears 2 different times in the video, in 2 very different locations. The first was inside of the house, on the right written in blood. The second is at the part where there is a screamer and a horde in the top left.
I remember the morale missions and such and they were probably my favorite. Dealing with the drama and peoples post psychological problems and feeling the emotionality of the characters and helping them get through the times made the game ten times better I just really hope the helping morale scenes and such are more emotional. Along with deaths met with heavy crying to the people that were closely connected with the character that died. More relationships more dialogue make your characters feel tied to you. I mean relationships as in what you are thinking and definitely children add to the atmosphere as well (non-combat characters). Maybe the child gets accepted by you making you like become the adopted father/mother or being blood related to it. Basically creating your own start with your own not or customized characters and watching them develop to the situation. Also that people have to make tougher decisions, ones that could comeback to bite you.

They need to add more variety and believability for morale missions. In number 1 they were recycled...after about the 3rd one you knew exactly what to expect. I love number 1, and there is so much they could do to improve it. This could be absolutely amazing.
Actually I don't mean to sound like an ass but that isn't them, it looks nothing like them, Maya wasn't white she was Hispanic, and Marcus didn't look like a 40 year old lookin dad XD nah but keep in mind State of Decay doesn't have "main characters" because anyone can die at anytime, so no one really gets their own story and whatnot :P hope that clears stuff up for some people

(apart from the main 3 which are just default and they don't add anything to the story) you yourself are the main character, you get to decide who does what. So nah, apart from their looks and some skills, no one's really the main character.
They should balance cars with the need for gas and make sneaking more viable. I would also like for the chance start with a character that I customized. More than anything else though I'd really like to get more military action gaming going.
I know but if they try to make stealthing easier it would make the game a joke you dont have to waste weapons, ammo or use traps it would make the game plenty boring
tarapapi It's not on tipping point. There's not a scale of only too hard or too easy. If done right sneaking like any other good game can be a good addition to it. It's going to be a new game with some new mechanics. Besides sneaking in of itself isn't an easy tactic to pull off.
3 things I would like to see in this game 1) More Brutal Combat: Melee combat in the the original SoD felt very...cartoonish in a way, the game tries to come off all gritty then all of a sudden you are jumping off a zombies back and stomping on their head? I would have preferred a much heavier, hard hitting combat, if you have seen what you do with an iron pipe in The Last Of Us you will know what I mean. 2) Character Customization: I just didn't like any of the characters looks in SoD1, didnt look like they were gearing up for survival, it looked too clean. however from what I have seen in the trailer, characters do look more rugged and practical. 3) AN ACTUAL STORY sorry but SoD1 just felt like I was running errands for everyone.

Quinn Heinz That would change the player's strategy. God knows how many times it took less than five minutes because of a molotov I threw into a hoard. Hell I always had a surplus of molotovs.
Days Gone is going to be more of a story driven game with more emphasis on combat. State of Decay is focus more on survival and co-op. Two completely different games. Definitely going to buy Days Gone, that State of Decay on top of Gears 4 might make me re-buy an X-1 (more specifically Scorpio) next year.

In my opinion, this is what needs to be in the new game: changing weather such as fog, rain, cloudy days, and if they wanted to go this far, have the seasons change too. They also need to add bandits and other true survivor bases that you can go to war with, and allow you to kill survivor you see if you don't want them to join your group. More base development would be a huge point for me because while the buildings were a cool part of the game, it needs more this time around, plus it made little sense in the first game that you couldn't upgrade your walls to be higher so that the zombies couldn't just climb over every time. The most important thing they can add would be a more interesting and longer storyline, because the first one was good in the beginning, but it needed more action variation than just meeting someone and clearing zombies. If the devs add all of this, then the second game will be even more popular than the first game.

Here is what I'm hoping for - Vehicles - More vehicles and better looking ones too. The military vehicles were a joke and the police vehicle while I liked, had bad siren lights. I'm hoping they add in more vehicles this time around and make them look good too. More Storage - The max limit of space in vehicles is six slots which is shared between SUVs, pickups, military and police vehicles and taxis. Everything else has less than six. We should also be able to have certain gear on to allow us to carry more of specific stuff. Such as tactical gear that has a lot of ammo holsters should allow us to carry more ammo without it weighing us down or taking up space in the bag. Better bases and outposts - I didn't like that I was limited to one home base and eight outposts and the biggest problem is outposts are only good for destroying hordes and daily supplies if the place has any. I want to be able to make more than eight outposts and I want to put people in those outposts to make the area around it truly safe. I want more than one homebase with the option to send supplies back and fourth. So one base can be dedicated for food and another can be dedicated for storage and another for people. Better looting - I didn't like that no matter how silent you were, it didn't matter if you maxed out wits and even got the Ninja perk. If you start looting a place, all the zombies around you start coming to that building. This is annoying. Hopefully the map is bigger and with more places to loot. In SoD1, the towns aren't that big and don't take long to fully loot. Emergency Services - Better looking military and police and the option to recruit and play them. Let's be honest, the military looked stupid and the police looked even stupider. I want them to look bad ass and I want the option to play them. I want trash collectors to help keep the place clean. I want paramedics to actually help keep people healthy and fine. Customization - I want to be able to customize vehicles. Make them stronger, maybe put spikes on them or sirens. Some can be dedicated to killing, some can be dedicated to luring and some can even be dedicated for supply runs. I want to be able to customize survivors. Maybe even make and dye clothes. If they add this in, hopefully they add in a lot of tactical gear because if they did then I would make my own little death squad that is dedicated to killing zombies and clearing out places. Multiplayer - I would love a coop experience to be allowed to play with friends or randoms. If not in story mode, then they should bring back Breakdown mode and allow multiplayer in that. There should also be a PvP aspect but it should be optional. Something similar to DayZ where everyone starts out in different corners of the world and just explore and loot. When they come across other players they can work together or kill each other. Infected Survivors - Mercy Shot missions shouldn't be so hard to get. To this day I have yet to get Alan in Breakdown mode. If a survivor dies by zombies and doesn't get ripped apart, you should be able to find that survivor in the area he died at, as a zombie. Clean Areas - I want the option to take over a junkyard or metal melting building, with either of those under your control you should be allowed to call in tow trucks to move destroyed vehicles. Scrapping them for resources. Humans as Enemies - Let's be honest, humans are dicks. We're untrustworthy, we're liars, we're betrayers, we're weak and full of fear or control. When the world ends everyone will NOT band together like they did in State of Decay. There will be raiders, rapers, looters, robbers and more. I'd like to see human factions that are bad that you have to watch out for. Once your community starts growing they'll confront you with an offer to share or be killed. You could fight them, risk losing everything and barely getting away with maybe two or three survivors or you could accept. The basic idea would be accept at first till your community is strong enough and well equipped. Once you're strong enough, you can fight them alone or band together with other survivor groups to try to take them down. Something I saw from someone else is traitors. Someone in your group that lost a loved one under your watch or someone that went crazy with all the stress and depression or just someone sent in to gain trust that eventually turns on you. They can secretly sabotage gear or start attacking survivors or try to lead a swarm of zombies in or try letting their group in. This would be an interesting feature. Imagine coming back to base and there is a firefight going on between your survivors and this random group or imagine coming back only to be attacked by someone in your group. Obviously all your survivors would respond by trying to kill the traitor as well or at least capture him. Capable Survivors - If I max out a survivor, they should be able to be sent on missions and be capable of handling the mission alone. Unless it's swarming with zeds and freaks, just to be realistic. But in State of Decay, I hate having my maxed survivors call for help to kill ONE armored zombie. The weakest of the freaks that shouldn't even be considered a freak, and the fact that if I don't help they fail the mission because it "Didn't go well" is just pure annoying. Here is my small list for things I want that I hope they add or add something similar. If not all, at least a few.
Has anyone thought that one of the features could be that you fire a flare and some of the survivors at your camp or just people who were curious just drives over there? Also if you guys want comment some features you would want or think might be in the game.
I'm certain co-op is being implied by the flare gun thing. I don't believe they would show off the flare gun as a mechanic, like bringing in NPCs to help you or something, because as SoD players know, the NPCs are either mulling around at base, or getting trapped in buildings because they travel by themselves. So hooray for co-op!
One thing that made this game boring was the repetitive sanctuary quests. It gets old fast. They should allow you to clear out parts of the town and have the zombies migrate instead of spawning in cleared areas. Just have zombies spawn at the edges and have them migrate toward sounds, lights.
Here are a list of weapons that they should add to this game. A nail gun, crossbow, meat cleaver, electric guitar, banjo, nun-chunks, nail bat, sickle, flamethrower and a pickaxe.

Days Gone is going to be more of a story driven game with more emphasis on combat. State of Decay is focus more on survival and co-op. Two completely different games. Definitely going to buy Days Gone, that State of Decay on top of Gears 4 might make me re-buy an X-1 (more specifically Scorpio) next year.
dont bother with gears of war 4, it's a shooter game on rails, and a really dumbed down gameplay
mateuszgojski Go f*ck yourself buddy. I don't really like generic shooters at all (I.E - Battlefield, COD, KillZone, CS:GO). Only 2 shooters I do like is Gears and Destiny. At least those 2 are unique with gameplay elements and mechanics unlike the others I mentioned.

but just FYI a game is suppose to be played by a player not the game playing it for you, e.g press that button so your character goes there and crouch behind cover ( can you really not do that yourself? ) , or press that button to ride a bike and not do anything just shoot blindly at enemies while the bike goes by itself.
i just like to play my games instead of them playing for me.

In my opinion, this is what needs to be in the new game: changing weather such as fog, rain, cloudy days, and if they wanted to go this far, have the seasons change too. They also need to add bandits and other true survivor bases that you can go to war with, and allow you to kill survivor you see if you don't want them to join your group. More base development would be a huge point for me because while the buildings were a cool part of the game, it needs more this time around, plus it made little sense in the first game that you couldn't upgrade your walls to be higher so that the zombies couldn't just climb over every time. The most important thing they can add would be a more interesting and longer storyline, because the first one was good in the beginning, but it needed more action variation than just meeting someone and clearing zombies. If the devs add all of this, then the second game will be even more popular than the first game.
This better be released for PC.

I wish more sandbox mode in this game, like we can build our own santuary, place item, decorate, lighting, electricity etc
Here is what I'm hoping for -
Vehicles - More vehicles and better looking ones too. The military vehicles were a joke and the police vehicle while I liked, had bad siren lights. I'm hoping they add in more vehicles this time around and make them look good too.
More Storage - The max limit of space in vehicles is six slots which is shared between SUVs, pickups, military and police vehicles and taxis. Everything else has less than six. We should also be able to have certain gear on to allow us to carry more of specific stuff. Such as tactical gear that has a lot of ammo holsters should allow us to carry more ammo without it weighing us down or taking up space in the bag.
Better bases and outposts - I didn't like that I was limited to one home base and eight outposts and the biggest problem is outposts are only good for destroying hordes and daily supplies if the place has any. I want to be able to make more than eight outposts and I want to put people in those outposts to make the area around it truly safe. I want more than one homebase with the option to send supplies back and fourth. So one base can be dedicated for food and another can be dedicated for storage and another for people.
Better looting - I didn't like that no matter how silent you were, it didn't matter if you maxed out wits and even got the Ninja perk. If you start looting a place, all the zombies around you start coming to that building. This is annoying. Hopefully the map is bigger and with more places to loot. In SoD1, the towns aren't that big and don't take long to fully loot.
Emergency Services - Better looking military and police and the option to recruit and play them. Let's be honest, the military looked stupid and the police looked even stupider. I want them to look bad ass and I want the option to play them. I want trash collectors to help keep the place clean. I want paramedics to actually help keep people healthy and fine.
Customization - I want to be able to customize vehicles. Make them stronger, maybe put spikes on them or sirens. Some can be dedicated to killing, some can be dedicated to luring and some can even be dedicated for supply runs. I want to be able to customize survivors. Maybe even make and dye clothes. If they add this in, hopefully they add in a lot of tactical gear because if they did then I would make my own little death squad that is dedicated to killing zombies and clearing out places.
Multiplayer - I would love a coop experience to be allowed to play with friends or randoms. If not in story mode, then they should bring back Breakdown mode and allow multiplayer in that. There should also be a PvP aspect but it should be optional. Something similar to DayZ where everyone starts out in different corners of the world and just explore and loot. When they come across other players they can work together or kill each other.
Infected Survivors - Mercy Shot missions shouldn't be so hard to get. To this day I have yet to get Alan in Breakdown mode. If a survivor dies by zombies and doesn't get ripped apart, you should be able to find that survivor in the area he died at, as a zombie.
Clean Areas - I want the option to take over a junkyard or metal melting building, with either of those under your control you should be allowed to call in tow trucks to move destroyed vehicles. Scrapping them for resources.
Humans as Enemies - Let's be honest, humans are dicks. We're untrustworthy, we're liars, we're betrayers, we're weak and full of fear or control. When the world ends everyone will NOT band together like they did in State of Decay. There will be raiders, rapers, looters, robbers and more. I'd like to see human factions that are bad that you have to watch out for. Once your community starts growing they'll confront you with an offer to share or be killed. You could fight them, risk losing everything and barely getting away with maybe two or three survivors or you could accept. The basic idea would be accept at first till your community is strong enough and well equipped. Once you're strong enough, you can fight them alone or band together with other survivor groups to try to take them down. Something I saw from someone else is traitors. Someone in your group that lost a loved one under your watch or someone that went crazy with all the stress and depression or just someone sent in to gain trust that eventually turns on you. They can secretly sabotage gear or start attacking survivors or try to lead a swarm of zombies in or try letting their group in. This would be an interesting feature. Imagine coming back to base and there is a firefight going on between your survivors and this random group or imagine coming back only to be attacked by someone in your group. Obviously all your survivors would respond by trying to kill the traitor as well or at least capture him.
Capable Survivors - If I max out a survivor, they should be able to be sent on missions and be capable of handling the mission alone. Unless it's swarming with zeds and freaks, just to be realistic. But in State of Decay, I hate having my maxed survivors call for help to kill ONE armored zombie. The weakest of the freaks that shouldn't even be considered a freak, and the fact that if I don't help they fail the mission because it "Didn't go well" is just pure annoying.
Here is my small list for things I want that I hope they add or add something similar. If not all, at least a few.
The characters in the trailer honestly look like older versions of Marcus, Ed, and Maya from the first game.
Has anyone thought that one of the features could be that you fire a flare and some of the survivors at your camp or just people who were curious just drives over there? Also if you guys want comment some features you would want or think might be in the game.

I'm certain co-op is being implied by the flare gun thing. I don't believe they would show off the flare gun as a mechanic, like bringing in NPCs to help you or something, because as SoD players know, the NPCs are either mulling around at base, or getting trapped in buildings because they travel by themselves. So hooray for co-op!
One thing that made this game boring was the repetitive sanctuary quests. It gets old fast. They should allow you to clear out parts of the town and have the zombies migrate instead of spawning in cleared areas. Just have zombies spawn at the edges and have them migrate toward sounds, lights.

Here are a list of weapons that they should add to this game. A nail gun, crossbow, meat cleaver, electric guitar, banjo, nun-chunks, nail bat, sickle, flamethrower and a pickaxe.
