I once travelled from Greece to Gatwick with constant screaming and crying from two children the whole way. When we landed every one clapped and sighed with relieve , the worst ever flight I had ever been on.
I like your description of the "screaming sandwich." Also I have flown out of Heathrow many, many times. It is odd to see it so deserted. Keep the videos coming. They are fun to watch.
Hey Debra, thanks very much. Yes I’m back there again in a few weeks, just connecting through. Seem to be booked to fly from/to Manchester quite a lot this year so there’ll be plenty more videos coming up! I’m trying to make the content a bit more fun to watch than too technically detailed just so they’re kind of useful for the general traveller type that just enjoys, well, travelling I guess. Thanks again for the comment and support. Mark 😊
This flights sounds like my worse nightmare. I usually enjoy flying because it’s peace from the everyday life down below and you are usually disconnected from people being able to contact you during the flight. ✈️
This is very true. Like I said in other comments, I should have moved seats really. Can you imagine though if this was a full, 3-4 hour flight without the option?
On the upper deck of a BA 747 from Seattle - twins, about 1 year old, cried for 4 hours before they finally passed out. There was a brief respite of about 90minutes and then they started again. Honestly, it was so memorable for all the wrong reasons. Everyone looked like a zombie when we arrived...
I have experienced both ends of the spectrum with kids on aircrafts. I have had a woman with two kids in front of me and didn’t even know there was kids until we landed. On the opposite end I had a kid on a flight left to run up and down the aisle and try and tamper with a door mid flight while parents sat and drank beers and wine. Felt sorry for the crew as the parents just didn’t give a fuck, until quite a large gentleman accosted the dad and told him to get a grip of his kid. That was greeted with a rapture of applause from other passengers and I am sure secretly from the crew too.
Yep, totally agree! I’ve had exactly the same and it’s absolutely down to the parenting. I’ve got kids myself and took them on flights from a very early age. There’s no way I’d have had them running up and down the aisle but I see that on quite a few flights. Poor parenting is the problem. Cheers mate.

Hi Mike, good to see an Oswestrian commenting on the channel (I must get up to the CambrianRailway at some point). I’ve been looking at National Express for my next trip to Heathrow. There are several direct services from Birmingham at around £20 o/w when I was looking. Taking around 3 hours I reckon it’s a viable alternative to getting the train to Euston then the underground to LHR which would be around the same time and likely more expensive. It’s definitely worth a video so watch this space as they say!
I felt your pain watching this video mate horrendous....looked like you couldn't get out of there quick enough 😢 was thinking at least it was a plane and not a bus 😊
My first flight this year after 9 months was to Glasgow and there were 7 screaming babies on board. To be honest it was heavenly enjoying a G&T , cloud surfing so I didn’t mind the kids. I’ve been known to report it to the lounge staff if kids are unruly and to be honest lounge staff are quite proactive on this as a couple of years ago in Galleries First a toddler ran into a server carrying a vat of hot porridge to top up the buffet and a lot of it was spilt on the child causing quite nasty injuries. The observant will note that since this time pre covid all replenishment items for the buffet are wheeled out on trolleys and there’s rope barriers by the kitchen doors in lounges to try ad stop children running into staff. Pre covid a couple asked me if I wouldn’t mind moving as I’d ordered some ice cream as they didn’t want it eaten in front of their children. I said I did mind and I might have ordered a few more tubs ( they were small anyway). As an uncle to an autistic nephew I know that travelling can be a nightmare so I think I’ve learnt from my sister the difference between a kid playing up and a SEN kid stressed by the situation.
I’ll have to look at for that next time I’m in the lounge. Thing is it’s the parents not controlling their kids again, which I blame on this flight. Just inconsideration for others in either situation really. And asking you to move because you were eating ice cream well that’s just a bloody cheek if you ask me. Just came over to Riga with Wizz Air and there were kids running up and down the aisle. Cabin crew had to make an announcement to get them to stop it. Again, not kids fault.
Hey Sam, thanks for the comment and greetings from the UK to you! Yes the flight was not my best I think it’s fair to say though the passengers were absolutely terrible I can’t really attribute much blame to BA on this occasion. Fortunately it was only half an hour but I’m back on it this weekend (same route) so I hope it’s better. Also taking the Easyjet LHR - ABZ so more videos to come. All the best, Mark
For many years before BOB we used to get crisps and a drink in economy on UK Dom. I wonder whether they’ll bring back BOB after the pandemic or stick with the crisps. Did they offer coffee and tea?
Hi Roger! They didn’t offer tea or coffee, although I heard somewhere that if you ask for it, they can provide it. I haven’t tried this tactic but maybe someone else knows? They must have it for business class even on this short flight. Personally, I think they need to bring bob back but maybe even as a pre-order via the app? I had the same crisps and water coming back from Pisa last year which is obviously a much longer flight and would have bought something more substantial if I could have. Cheers, Mark

Yeh, that was it in a nutshell really, because the parents could have done more and that was the annoying thing, so in my mind they’re the ones at fault 100%. They also showed a complete lack of respect for the aircraft and crew and at the end of the flight, someone’s gonna have to clean up their mess.
Hey thanks CB, appreciate the comment. I agree really, I should have moved. I felt sorry for the guys who had to clean the aircraft after that lot, can’t blame BA and I’ve flown this route quite a few times recently without any issue. Luck of the draw I guess but it’s definitely a lesson learnt for me for next time! All the best, Mark
I did the ‘turn round and glare’ a few times (a typically English way of doing things I guess!) which had zero effect on anything! Honestly, totally oblivious this lot were, can you imagine a longer flight I would probably have just lost it haha so yes definitely would move seats next time. Lesson learnt!
1) That is not the BA Galleries South Lounge 2) Yes alcohol is being served again 3) Are you aware that BA started up their ‘Speedbird Cafe’ several months, so instead of BOB you can now preorder food, snacks drinks
Hi goldenkoi23, many thanks for your comment and I appreciate you taking the time to point out where corrections are required. 1) Would you be so kind as to confirm this is normally the galleries first lounge? It was the only one open so I think BA were probably combining the south into it at the time (I'm presuming my ticket/status would not have got me in otherwise). I'll try and correct it anyway so thanks for the info 2) Yes I'm looking forward to being there on Sunday and sampling some! 3) I'll have a look at this as I agree it is worth pointing out that there should be an alternative to BoB. All the best, Mark
All, I haven't had any further comment from 'goldenkoi23'! So, just to confirm, I asked about this the last time I was at LHR a couple of weeks back and as I suspected, the galleries first lounge is being used by BA when their galleries south lounge is not in use.
Hi GSM. I think you’re right about moving which, in hindsight, I should have done and others have commented on this as well. For me, the content is about the experience of this particular flight and the issues I had. I have taken many flights over the last few years and, whilst I agree that it is usual to have kids crying, this was a little more than just that. So I thought it was worth putting it in and sharing. Incidentally, i was intending to do a full flight video but it was not possible because of this. Many thanks for taking the time to comment. All the best, Mark
I do wish people would not speed up the film - so annoying. What type of aircraft was it? Yes, Manchester Airport is dreadful and run by a bunch of spivs on the make.
Hi Bill, sorry about the accelerated film, I know it's something others do as well and tbh, this is the first comment I've had about it. I do spend days and days editing and producing these videos. It's a hobby I enjoy doing MOST of the time, but I could quite easily give it up too. The majority of people enjoy them though and that is enough to keep me going atm. The aircraft btw was BA A321Neo G-NEOT (I normally tell people that - can't believe I've missed it out!). Hope to hear from you again and I appreciate your feedback. All the best, Mark
What a dreadful experience - I once had to encounter two screaming children all the way back from Toronto; the one parent with them doing absolutely nothing. That was in BA first class whereas some airlines do not allow children to sit in first class.
Hi Meg, thanks for the comment. Yes that’s the point isn’t it, the parents need to respect the other passengers on board. Btw, I’m still dreaming of my first first class trip following everything going completely wrong with global travel last year. I’ve got long haul business class stuff booked in the next few months but who knows whether they’ll happen. Probably not is my guess!
I don't believe that there is ANY airline which does not allow fare paying children travelling as revenue passengers to sit in First Class. Can you name one?
I see JAL are bringing out a seat map which shows where kids under 12 are seated. Personally, I don’t have a problem with kids onboard providing the parents can control them properly. And that’s the gamble isn’t it?
@@markpunt9638 As Virgin DO NOT and NEVER EVER HAVE offered a First (F) Class cabin on any of their flights, I suggest you reconsider what you have claimed.

Don’t have to say it but you know what I am thinking
If you can ban me for my thoughts crack on you tube
Manchester Airport is the pits
Completely agree!
You should have moved mate, the report should not have been about a family with kids, kids crying and kicking in flights it is a usual occurrence!
I can understand you totally
Families with children under 6 should be banned flying
Haha, bit harsh but yes sometimes I feel like that. I bet most are well behaved though a lot of it is down to the parents.
@@Ben-xe8ps it was certainly the case with Virgin last time I was with them
@@markpunt9638 As Virgin DO NOT and NEVER EVER HAVE offered a First (F) Class cabin on any of their flights, I suggest you reconsider what you have claimed.
