So true man! This one is not like a typical one. It's quite different from anything. I really didn't expect from jk to come up with something like that. Nobody can actually predict, towards where the melody is going. Jk is truly a gem man! ❤

it's a song about his life. he joined bts at the very young age and didn't have any "private" normal teen's life. he turns back and tries to find his time, but, unfortunately, can't. but he doesn't regret . he likes his life and what he is doing now, so he sings 'i will call you...." , he says, that everything is and will be alright. he has grown too fast:((

Jungkook wants to embrace his past self during his teenage but he cannot now, Then he goes on on saying how he may not be able to embrace his past self but still he will try to live in the present and try to do things that he couldn't do in the past and now in the present he will be able to embrace his present self along with his past.

it's a deep song and very emotional about how he didn't live his childhood like normal kids, like his hyungs, cause when the guys joined bts they were already teens and adults 17/17-21 yo. jungkook was 13...literally a fetus. he feels guilty he doesn't know if he did right. he is finding his lost time. he never had time he grew up very fast and he was always one day before any normal kid, he was already in the future, the day after today, planning and doing things for the day after:

Jungkook said it himself that this song is about how the time went so fast since he was a trainee and he didnt notice how things changed so fast, so he started to think about it and then he wrote this song with rm's help. The song is about how he lost his childhood, he didnt have experiences that kids at his age had "friends riding subway, i'll be in the airplane mode" When his friends were at school he was already working so hard, he didnt have the chance to live like a normal teenager like the other members had. "There are traces of losses" he lost his childhood, its not a love song, he is trying to find his time to live like an ordinary person, he feels like he is living in another timezone "why am i the only one in different time and space?" because everyone at his age has a different life than his "am i living this right?" oh god i cried SO much reading those lyrics, its such a sad song, i hope he can find a way to enjoy his life better

He feels as if time's passing too fast and he's in a completely different time zone, whereas he's still a boy but at the same time he's already a man, he feels like he's growing up too fast, faster than everyone else...

I think it would be called mid-tempo. I think it's about his journey since he joined BTS. Their hectic schedule hasn't allowed for what a normal teenager would've been doing. Spending a lot of time with friends and no time to be in a serious relationship because he's always working and traveling. It's tough, but also rewarding.

The song is about how he didn't really get to experience what others did. If you know he joined bts at 15 so he didn't really live a life like a normal teenager. So he's like "where did my time go?" And saying "I can't hold ya" etc. Later on his thoughts changed as he grew up. That's when he said "I can hold ya" etc

At 2:13 when Aaron said that he can’t really say what the mood is, if it’s fast or slow...I think that’s exactly what they were going for. I think ultimately, My Time is a song about displacement and disconnection. Jungkook has been running fast his whole life, ahead of others his own age, leaving behind experiences he could have had (as elaborated in the first verse). But he also feels like he’s slow, falling behind for the life he has, falling behind what is expected of him (as mentioned in the second verse). Thus, leading to a feeling of being alone in a time (in a life) that doesn’t flow like everyone else’s.
The hangul title of My Time is 시차 loosely translated as time difference-Jungkook said he was aiming to capture the feeling of being on the plane traveling out of one timezone and into another as a metaphor for the pace of his own life and where he finds himself in it. I think the lyrics, melody, beats and the emotions in his voice perfectly works together to convey just that.
Oh, and one more thing. He does want to be with someone, he is running after someone. And that someone is himself. :)
