Actually very useful video. I personally like the smooth power curve of the can muffler (I use a 36cc engine, so plenty of power to burn tires in asphalt even with the can, which btw it isn't a standard leaf blower muffler it is an unrestricted-high flow muffler modified by Zenoah for Rc applications), it is simple, compact and the tone of the noise it makes is a much lower pitch than tuned pipes. I play with the car a lot and when I installed a tuned pipe similar to the Bartolone after 15 mins of bashing my head hurt lol, I went to bed still listening to the screaming noise of the pipe lmao. But hey, people seem to love these loud tuned pipes, they look very good and it is cool to have such a handmade piece in your rc.
About time I found a straight up comparison between the two. I'm still content with the stock exhaust as of right now. Maybe one day that will change, but right now, just not that interested in it. Thanks for the video.
If it clay or mud, simple green, if it’s just dust and dry dirt. Maguires wash and wax. To clean the air filter Dawn liquid soap and then filter spray.
It’s the Rigid stand from Home Depot with a Bartolone Racing chassis stand plate. Link below ⬇️ www.ddmracing.com/Bartolone-Racing-Losi-5T-Chassis-Stand-Plate
How much louder would you say the pipe is then the can exhaust I couldn’t really tell on video, I’m planning to get one of these but the problem is that their are still some houses near where I run my car at, I do not want to bug them
Exhaust is everything when it comes to these little two strokes not to mention the stock exhaust spits oil all over the inside of your car so a aftermarket pipe is a absolute must just on the basis of keeping your car clean not even for more power.
@@largescalercnation You are right the guys that race love the low center of gravity this pipe has keeps the weight closer to the ground every little bit helps when racing forsure. The second best thing you can buy is a DDM 95k clutch sping really gets these things out the hole way more efficient without bogging. Add that with a lighten flywheel and a 22 pinion my 5t runs like a champ and spins all four from a dead stop right off the hit leaving tread marks on the pavement without bogging at all.
Chris was really torquing that thing lol. What pipe would you recommend for top rpms, I’m not really caring too much about bottom end, I just want this thing to scream on the top end. Also, how did you get your killswitch light like that? Awesome vid man!
@@largescalercnation Oh, I just checked the video out, what I did was on the side of the battery box, there is a rubber thing that you can pull out, the side that you see, next to the sideguard. What pipe would you recommend for top rpms? I have been looking at the jetpro pipe
@@nitrogas5719 give Chris Bartolone a call, let him know your engine and what you are looking to do. He is the most knowledgeable when it comes to 1/5 scale engine and exhaust! Hands down, he makes the best exhaust!!!
Yes, you have to remove the stock filter, flip it upside down (180 degrees rotation) so that it lifts up the whole filter assembly and re-install it. It then clears and works 👌 as you can see in the comparison portion of the vid, I have the stock filter installed
@@nadersedaghat5694 yes as it’s the same mounting point but I would flip it over the filter first and test to see if the body hits. It doesn’t with the 5ive-T
Just threw my end bleed pipe on and realized its too close to the 5ive-T air filter (v1.0) What filter do most guys run with this pipe for dusty tracks?
the stock exhaust has more bottom punch, less bogging. .the bartolone has more mid to top end but suffers on bottom end..looks like bartolone set up need a stiffer clutch spring and richer air/fuel mixture
Nice review and great comparison between stock and aftermarket pipe 💪🤘

Thanks for the positive feedback, I appreciate it. Braaap on 👊👊 😂😂😂 yeah I hear people on the gas for a day or two after the races 😱🏎💨
Great vid! I went with a Bartolone xp and am waiting on it to arrive
Congratulations 👍👌
👍🏻 great pipe I run the same one nice Primal MT over there 😉
Now the powerband kicks in

Hi, how much did it cost to chrome plate it?
I think he’ll add it to the pipe for $10-15 if you order it from him
sounds mean..👍
Where is that pipe exiting in are you having to cut holes in something to make it work?
Yes a small hole saw into the black plastic that runs along your chassis
I got the cops called on me for running my 5ive t with the stock exhaust lol
Sounds way better and seems more responsive. Went to order it but it seems everything is sold out.
DDM and Modspeedshop.com has them
Where are you guys getting the nuts from?? My pipe came with no nuts...... smh
What kind of fuel tank top is that? I see a lot of them....
The fuel tank is stock, the cap is from DDM
Hello. When I have to smok what I must do. What is wrong?
Sorry, I don’t understand what your asking? Try again please. 😀👍
@@largescalercnation I have too much smoke from the exhaust pipe. How to change it? What is wrong? :)
@@gladek800 it is too rich, lean it out a little. But check your plug and temp after changing the needle settings
Oh yeah, and do you think I would be able to powder coat the pipe? Or does raw look good? I haven’t really seen one
Yes you could have it power coated.
Hello. What soap do you use to clean up Losi 5 t?

Night and day difference!!!! 90% of the racers I’ve seen run this pipe. 1 of the top 3 purchases to add on first

Red or blue threadlock? Im new to 1/5 scale
Depends on what you are using it on. Normally Blue, if it’s a part that will get hot (on the motor) use Red.
Which track do you race your 1/5 scale gas trucks?
Good Ol Boyz in Bakersfield CA and So Cal Nitro Raceway in Victorville CA
