I went for installing the CorkSport NotSoLow springs this weekend and just wanted to say thanks for this guide! I had the same struggles with the front strut's top nut. I was able to get it off (still super hard) using a bit of WD-40, go-thru socket set, allen key, and most importantly a wrench on the end of the allen key to get extra leverage
Your car looks awesome. I've got Eibach springs on my 2018 Mazda 3, as well. Eibach is quality product, you can't go wrong. I also have the Takeda cold air intake, MF axleback exhaust & Versatune. Very happy with everything. Love the videos, All the best.
Knowing how compressed springs can be I had my dealer install my Eibach springs. I also had the corksport lowering springs prior to the Eibachs, but decided to do the switch after I got the OEM Aerokit installed. The kit makes the car stance look lower and since I park my car underground I needed to clear the up ramp when I drove out. It’s interesting a difference 1/2 inch makes.
I've been considering getting that kit as well! Did you revert back to stock springs after getting the kit or did you settle on a less aggressive spring set? I'd love to hear what you did after getting the OEM aerokit installed!
I agree, it does look better, but the low-life isn't for me. I have a 2021 turbo hatch at stock ride height and have already scratched the hell out of my front splitter, and that's even trying to be careful. Thankfully most of the damage was underneath and I was able to touch up the small spot that could be seen, but if I dropped an inch I'd break the whole thing off for sure😂. I don't know where most of you live, but I live in a city with high curbs, drainage dips going into business driveways and my own driveway at home is almost too steep..in fact I pull out at a slight angle every morning and do the same coming home. I know there are far lower cars than a stock Mazda 3 turbo, but I have no idea how you guys live with it day to day. Hell, even small road debris I can't swerve around gives me anxiety😂
There is absolutely no way! So ive owned a 2021 Cfrosstrek Sport for a year and a half now and i found you because of your videos on that car. THe wierd thing is is that i just test drove a Mazda 3 literally last week and i was really really considering it and then BOOM this video pops up on my home page. idk lol we must have a very similar taste in cars
Haha great minds think alike! The transition great, this Mazda 3 is super luxurious compared the the very dated interior of the Crosstrek. It’s a great car and I’d recommend it to anyone. But I will say the Mazda community is very small compared to the vast Subaru community. Not as much aftermarket support but that would be my only down fall to this car. In conclusion one day I’ll probably return to Subaru!
Get spring compressors for the future. It's tricky to get the nut off. You need to put a wrench on it then use vice grips to pinch the flat part of the threaded bit
"the difference an inch makes" if I had a dollar 🤣 Great informative video, will be installing some on my car soon, just looks a little too high for me tbh Keep it up, subbed!
Great video bro. I’m going to rent a pair of spring compressors for the fronts. I was debating on getting the Cork sport, but I think you just convinced me to get the Eibach.
Bro tell me more about the confort, I'm trying to get some eibach springs but friends are telling me that the car will loss all comfort on driving, so I'm confused on making it or not?? If you has to rate from 1 to 10 the conform in comparison with the factory one being 10 how much will you rate the eibach?
Can u resize the rubber in the front shocks or what? I lm putting aftermarket front shocks for lowering springs and from what I’m seeing they don’t come with rubber on the metal
It will not. You'd have to have something go wrong and the dealer prove it was the aftermarket springs that caused the issue. And even if that were to happen they'd just deny that particular warranty claim - putting the springs on doesn't just outright negate your entire warranty.
I had the same problem as you , Took mine to a mechanic but sill in the process of installing , Cant seem to get the shaft to slid back into the wheel hub thing at the moment , Did you have any issues ?
Looks gorgeous bro you gotta give a update in a while, I know these texas roads can pretty messed up sometimes that's what has been keeping me scared of getting some myself
What year CX-5? I've had 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2023. In my experience they have continued to soften it up at every turn. I don't like it. There's too much body roll now. I plan on getting the CS springs which give it the perfect height and reduce the body roll.
This is actually the worse thing you can do - your tires will wear 3x quicker and the handling effect can be done w a sway bar. I made a mistake by lowering by 2021 3 turbo now back w rear sway bar - 110% better
Lowering the car actually makes it have lower center of gravity and lessening body roll while creating a more planted ride, this allows the car to carry higher speeds through corners, everything you have mentioned technology wise is actually related to the cars abs and traction systems for the most part, what this means is the computer will react based on how the wheels are spinning and if it determines a loss of traction; so with less body roll, a firmer, and lower center of gravity, these systems kick in far less as the car isn’t losing traction as often even with the torsion beam rear allowing the driver to be more in tune with the car itself
@@sadface4606Installing lowering springs without changing the shocks will cause the internal piston of the shock to bottom out, causing premature wear and possible damage. That's why it is not a good idea.
looks good do you scrape with the oem wheels. I got 19 inch wheels 225/40/19 and i don't want to scrape or rub on the wheels. how is the drive with the eibach wheels .
Nah with this set up you’re good! Now that they are all settled the ride is pretty good, they are softer so you can definitely feel every bump but ride quality is good!
Bro I’m at the exact point you’re at right now where you couldn’t get the bolt off. I’ve tried everything so I might just have to take it to a shop😓 did you have to pay anything for them to take it off for you?
Yeah, not even mentioning about voiding manufacturers warranty, but You know that OM states that is't kinda big no-no to change anything with suspension as the car, don't You? Mazda is designed with plenty of suport systems like line departure assistant, braking support, G-vectoring and so on (plenty of those). The car will likely behave abnormally when doing such mods as it is also noted in instructions. Accepting that yourself is one story, but advising others and giving hints how to do it like You is another. Stay safe and enjoy the zoom zoom anyway!
One thing I’ve learned about this Mazda community is they’re 2 subgroups that make up the community. You have the normal car people that are super helpful and supportive and love modding their cars. Then you have the elitist like this that try and lecture you about everything. STFU
Who said that? I had my springs installed on my mazda dealership, it doesn't void any warranty. Infact these Eibach springs are better and more firm than the OEM ones. What does G-vectoring, braking support etc have to do with 1,2 inches lower on the car it self? Unless you mess around with the car brain chip, nothing you said makes any sense. It seems like you just said something to simply say it.

Hey man, you're hilarious. 😢 Thanks for mentioning CorkSport but a little disappointed it's not CS. Those brakes, huh!?!! 😄Car looks great though.
AYE!!! Appreciate the love! Don’t worry Corksport will be mentioned a lot more in the future! 😈

Could you put the rubber spring boot on first and then wedge the spring in?

Looks dope. but my 3 already feels pretty firm. I also fear sharp and deep drops. Are you scraping with the lowered profile?
Looks gorgeous bro you gotta give a update in a while, I know these texas roads can pretty messed up sometimes that's what has been keeping me scared of getting some myself
Did you get the torsion beam rear aligned using shims of was it in spec with the Eibach pro kit? :)
Are you on 18 inches wheels?
I don’t know if lowering Mazda would be such a good idea. I’m currently cx5 and suspension is stiff already. I can’t imagine lowering mazda3
Been almost a year with the springs and no complaints from me 🤷🏽♂️

To me, the wheel arches now look too big for the wheels.
Are u still using original bump stops or u get new one with Eibach springs?
Thanks
Hey bro I plan on getting some springs. Are the eibach actually daily friendly? I live in Chicago the streets aren’t that smooth lol
Bro my stock Mazda3 already scrapes when I pull into my driveway, I ain't lowering it any further.

Late to the party, but i've been looking at these for mine and was wondering if you had to cut the bump stops with the Eibach springs?
Nope no cutting required

It’s literally the worst part of the entire install 😪 Yeah they charged me like $100 to remove the oem and reinstall the eibach springs back on.
@@StradysWorldDid you by chance ever trim the rear bump stocks? or the front at all. You didn’t show it in the video unless I missed it
@@northernwinter3236 nah there was no need to cut the bump stops with these!
Looks great!! What tint do you have? 35% on all sides and rear? Thanks
Yeah I’m this video it’s 35% all around! But recently changed to 20% all around and 5% on the rear

Lower it? I have a 2025 model and my shit already hits speed bumps if I dot slow down to 1m/ph 😂
Lower mazda 3? No thx. I already scrape the road on those dips. I dont need to scrape the engine.
Sucks to suck
looks nice but sounds shitty for driving in the winter.
Here in Texas winter is non existent so it works out lol
it looks so good tho smh, i live in Central NY and we get a shit ton of Lake effect snow. I have a Black 21 Turbo Hatch. @@StradysWorld
