Great interview. Interesting story. I think he hit it on the head when asked why kids in the getto turn to selling drugs. I also agree with his strategies to solve the problem. I also agree that a person's environment and the lack of a father figure influence human behavior. However, a person can make a decision that can totally take their life in a different direction. BTW, the final flash questions and Rick's answer were extremely revealing. Ronald Reagan = Thug really surprised me. Daniel Ortega = A Patriot was another one, and every other one demonstrates his left leaning idiolog. Nothing to me yet revealing.

@Bastardz Alley although it's not a "hard drug" the way youngsters fry thier brains on it, it may as well be. When (like anything) taken out of moderation it destroys ambition, costs alot of money and in parts where its illegal, introduces a criminal elements into a pesons life un necessarily.
Weed in general, the one that is popular today is the really strong stuff and that can and does have a effect on motor skills like driving etc,
Most people who take weed, take it in conjunction with other drugs which definitely complicates the matter, bottom line is most dont do drugs (any drug) in moderation and their in lies the problem.

I was once told by a friend that everything we need to make it,is inside of us! We just have to find it! Prison has a way with some people, some use it to educate themselves, some use it to better themselves at being an outlaw! The choice is up to you! Rick decided that he was going to educate himself!! And he did,now he's helping others and being a positive impact on his community! This story couldn't be written by anyone in Hollywood,Rick Ross lived it,it's his life!! Thank you Valuetainment for interviewing Rick Ross. My dad was arrested when I was 8 years old and deported. At one point I was lost and had given up. When I was in high school, everyone told me how expensive it was just to survive. I was not good at reading. I had a low GPA. I didnt know what to do with myself. I started to drift down the wrong path. A really bad path. I was homless and addicted to drugs.
I realized how to get back on track when I was 26. Im 30 now. My life is just getting back on track. I aspire to be a major contrctor. Im currently working as an apprentice carpenter. I Plan on doing a night class at a time at the local community college at the end of my apprenticeship next year and my General Contracting license soon after. This is a spectacular interview with great insight into the truth about why & how people go wrong.
I really loved the part where Patrick tells about his son's unfortunate experience with an uninspired teacher & how this teacher almost ruined his son because he was "different".
I had such an experience with a nun who taught me for 3 years straight & nearly convinced me that I was a failure at 12 years old.
Fortunately, my next teacher, in 7th grade took me aside one day & explained to me I should easily graduate first in my class.
I was surprised to hear this because for 3 years I had been suppressed into believing " I was no good!"
I asked her how she was so convinced of my potential to excell in class.
She said that the IQ test she had given me recently indicated that there is no reason why I couldn't graduate first in my class.
I asked her if she really believed this. She said absolutely!
My whole life changed at that point. I graduated 1st of my class and was always considered an excellent student. "There is nothing more powerful than the Truth."
Today I am an entrepreneur & love this podcast!

I went to Catholic school. Nuns should not be teaching kids because their history is not real history. It's roots are from the Vatican view of history and they consider Columbus a hero and Pilgrims got along with Native Americans and so much falsehoods. Disagree with them they treat you as an outcast. I didn't feel the Holy spirit there either. It's a dogmatic and oppressing way to learn.

I wanted it all when I was younger. This man probably could have been a professor or anything he wanted if teachers took the time. Geez man.
Edit: Look how fast the govt sent that rat Blandon to get back in the drug game. Dirty mfkrs. 14 more years. I wish the best for this "Real"
Rick Ross he deserves the best life has to offer not that fat btch who made money off his name faking the

Lastly, I'm a white-skinned Latino and I sometimes feel Black brothers
use the race card too much yet there
were atrocities committed against them no doubt yet American born Latinos are discriminated too. In the case of Freeway Rick Ross he was discriminated against for being Black and a crime boss having so much money. Jack Kennedy,JFKs
father was a bootlegger and a criminal and his family was considered royalty and he never faced repercussions for his crimes.
Bill and Hillary same thing. Had Americans and others killed with impunity. They were not going to allow this black man or any other Black person become a billionaire selling drugs. From him to Frank Lucas to Big Meech the Feds caught them all.

So much game to soak up. Just hearing some of these stories are amazing. Thank you so much for giving us this amazing content. Nothing could have prepared me for how interesting and entertaining the story of ‘The Real Rick Ross’ would be. It’s perhaps a little embarrassing that I didn’t really know who he was but I never spent much time on the street/didn’t ever sell drugs. He almost reminds me of Frank Abagnale (Catch Me If You Can) but a much more universally likable guy.

@@RawDogTV Big Pharma is the biggest drug dealer on the planet after CIA of course. I dont think we should forgive or support kingpins but the whole nonsense that the blame is only on the dealer is BS supply on demand will remain no matter who it is selling those be it minor hustler ghetto rich or kingpin selling it. Especially when the gov is the one that dumps those hard drugs into the ghetto to be sold in the first place. That way they make more arrests more inmates and more money. Its a vicious cycle and IMO drug dealers dont belong with murderers pedos and rapists especially the ones who are non violent. They can use the argument "he destroyed families by selling drugs" but that is some nonsense BS They can never remove drugs from society even if they werent the ones supplying it. The respect I have for Rick Ross is that he has worked very hard to correct the wrongs he's done in the past . A great example to follow for those who are exfelons or for anyone for that matter .

If low income household boys/men trying to live this life would realize how intellectual they are with math(etc.),these communities would be wealthy and prosperous. Listening to these politicians and so call civil leaders like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will keep these men poor and dependent.
Edit: If anyone is interested in what Ross and David was talking about education at the end, please check out the book “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt. Everything we experienced is done by design/orchestration.
