Went through the steps while watching. Got the allow this app to make changes on your computer window clicked yes and nothing happened. THe app and the uninstall botton is still there it just won't uninstall it.
What you really need to do is go to that registry key and delete all the references to Edge that you find. It will tell you that one cannot be deleted. But, when you restart and go to Settings/Apps/ , Edge will not be there.
I followed your instructions and like some of the other commenters I have "Uninstall" visible and not greyed out but I still can't uninstall the app. Any suggestions?

I used wise uninstaller and force uninstalled Edge, now if I enter EDGE or Microsoft EDGE in the search bar nothing comes up.
I did the same action with the same result. Greetings from Ukraine.

Revo Uninstaller is helpless in this case. This method is helpless as well. The icone becomes active but does nothing.

THE DIRECTIONS WERE GOOD. BUT IT DID NOT UNINSTALL. Edge must be the current version of the IE plague.
