Of course, we can’t always predict what is going to “attack” our gardens but we can be prepared. Hey Yall, I'm from Northern Virginia and been gardening for about 5 -7 years now. Really have learned alot from yall and was just telling momma about the bugs on my potatoes and tomatoes. Also I thought the wrinkles and curls on my pepers was from watering. This episode was right on time. The old 🐐 in the sweat potatoes Thanks Greg and momma Hoss
North/Central Alabama here. Leeds/Eastaboga AL. Pests! Timely subject for this show! With all this rain, maybe fungal issues will soon follow on an upcoming show. Brad @ Wild Boar Farms is quite an interesting character! I've grown some of his varieties for years, mostly as novelties. It's always fun growing some of that stuff! Brad's Atomic, Cosmic Eclipse, Sun Streak, the Tie Dyes, etc. I looked and looked for that Old Goat and all of a sudden Mama Hoss moves that bowl of taters back into the frame and Boom! There he is! As always, thanks for what y'all do for us!
Not to mention y’all provide excellent service, equipment, seeds Ect!! Nice to know us gardens don’t have to be stuck on big box store cheap products and plant varieties that might or might not profits well in my growing zone. Quality trumps prices!!!

I'm so glad you told me what those small white moths are. Last year was the first time we had them and they destroyed 1/2 of my cabbage crop. I didn't know what to do then but thanks to you, it won't happen this year. Love your show as always and keep up the faith. The Old Goat sure couldn't find a god place to hide this week right in front with the potatoes.

I have been harvesting potatoes for 2 weeks. And started harvesting Green beans and have green tomatoes and squash blooms, here in 7 b zone. Love gardening!

NC lady here! I think the Old Goat liked the potatoes this time! I've been seeing a huge amount of cucumber beetles. They are just having a field day on my plants.

Only ole goat I see is sittin by momma Hoss😂 go fishin when you can cause it’s good fir ya! Ordered a bunch of seed Monday, got it Thursday, wow , what a great job brother Hoss!! Sandhills of NC. Solidly 8A. Amazing the difference this spring between y'all in south GA and us here in NC. Waited until after Easter to plant tomatoes. My peppers I started 1 March... all but one bit the dust. My best one is 8 inches tall. Had a high of 60 yesterday but we have gotten an inch of rain. Gotta be more grateful for the good than dwell on the bad.

Hey ya'll were on Sand Mountain in Northeast Alabama . This iz my second year growing a vegetable garden , although I hrew up in a farm in Madison Fla ,not to far from ya'll . I started with rhiz aiil as hard as a rock ,but in one year its already improved a whole lot . My helth was so bad , inearly died several times in 2017 . So the garden has been my way of pushing myself to improve . So far ive improved so much . Thank ya'll for the sdvice , seeds , push ow , seeder snd drip system . Goodness have theg helped .

4years in and I'm still a new gardener. Now trying more than tomatoes and peppers. I just started learning about companion plants and intercropping to help deter pests. So bugs are going to be somewhat of a battle since I already had several things planted before learning anything about companion plants. Now I'm trying to learn more about how to recognize the garden pests and the beneficial bugs. This was a good show and quite informative. Thank you! Love getting my hands dirty in Central texas.
Gardening in Upstate SC. Have been gardening in raised beds for about 10 years but expanded to also using in ground beds last year. Growing corn, beans, peas, tomatoes, peppers, squash, watermelon, cantaloupe and pumpkins. Also have a 24x64 high tunnel. My retirement job 😅

I live in Northern Colorado. This is my second year of gardening. My husband has been doing it since he was a child. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. Since I started, I have had 100% germination with your seeds. That definitely helped with my motivation to continue growing my own food. Again, thank you. The old goat is in the potato bowl 😊.

Always learning Thank You. Located in Southeast New Mexico where the weather has not been "normal. Usually this time of May we have already had 10-15 100 degree plus days. High this month has been 92? Going to go ahead and planting our corn today as the nighttime temperature of the soils is about 60 degrees. One thing for sure and that Old Goat will never be a Sweet Potato!

Our main issues are blight 2x a year, squash/stink bugs, and cucumber beetles.
i'm in North-Central Texas. Vine Boreres are the bane of my existence when it comes to growing my summer squash. I'm generally lucky if I get 1 or 2 squash off a plant before the vine borers take it down.

I’ve been using a row cover for my summer squash this year and it has been amazing. I do inspect the squash while I’m hand pollinating but I haven’t had to do any vine borer removal.
I found a Parthenocarpic zuc I'll grow under cover . Last year I grew a Parthenocarpic cuc. Grasshoppers ate the first planting out in the open.
