I’m not sure why the others aren’t doing it. It only adds another few hours to the gameplay, and it completes the challenge in my opinion.

I was actually going to! I had already begun recording the gameplay, but another TH-camr named Lindz beat me to it. She did such a great job, that I'll move on to another Pokemon instead. You should check out her video!

I got a few ideas for a run.
1. Vulpix only run
2. Grass type only run
3. Only use pokemon with the ability sturdy.
4.toxel only run.
5. Only use pokemon that members of team yell uses.

Agreed at least this dude doesn’t cheat ash wouldn’t have survived brock in the games. Hitting ground types in the horn, thunder armour, and much more hacks ash totally cheated it’s infuriating.
This is pure quality if I've ever seen it... and pure amazing-ness...

That Zacian hurts at the end lol. I had a team of perfect IV trained eeveelutions and his zacian decimated my team for some reason, and they were all around lv90
I know right? I love shield better than sword except for one thing Hop has zachian who is way stronger than zamenteza. Zachian is the one reason to pick sword he has totally sweep ability same as urshifu with max knuckle.

Pikachu was my first ever starter Pokémon, since Pokémon yellow was my first Pokémon game. The little sac of electricity holds sentimental value to me, and is still my favorite Pokémon of all time. Cliche sure, but he’s been by my side through every region we’ve conquered, I can’t help but love him!
So thank you sir, for also conquering the Galar region with my son. :3

@@Desmxnd- update i did complete it! I had to use items to get through the battle along with giving pichu a held item. it was a ton of fun and i recommend trying to play through with any pokémon.

You REALLY should have got a light ball early on. It is spectacular and made my Pikachu crazy strong for the whole game

Pikachu has a pretty low attack stat. That’s why I had to rely so heavily on Thunder, since it has a base power of 110.

@@cameoshadowness7757 Pikachu only has a 1% encounter rate in Shield, so it would've added to the amount of time needed for the challenge
Both Pikachu and Eevee have perfect IVs. They can also breed these EVs to their offspring, not their Gigantamax ability however.

No, my plan was to do Pikachu with Shield, and Eevee with Sword since Sword has a fighting gym, but Eevee has been done already, so I'm going to use someone else.

Yeah it is but it's an egg move, compared to it being a tutor move in USUM. Although you can transfer egg moves now so you could probably do it that way.

If you grinded right before the grass gym while looking for other Pikachu, you'd have a chance of finding light ball, and then Pikachu would have decent stats... Well, it'd still be a glass canon... but the attack, special attack and speed would all be good... and you can use all the feathers on Pikachu to increase it's stats..

I know this was four years ago, IM CURRENTLY DOING THE SAME THING, USING THE PIKACHU (accept the restrictions) i thought of this randomly and im currently at the ice type gym, and i lost to the ghost type gym, so i taught my pikachu surf, and i just found this video and i love it, my sister plans to do the same thing i am, but with the special eevee
All the power to you my dude, but it seems like newer gen games are way too easy for any of these challenges to be even a bit difficult without instituting a pile of restrictions

This is the only way the new games are difficult! I had fun on my first playthrough prioritizing the use of only GMax meowth from mystery gift. The elite four went down with 3 max gold rushes per guy, literally 999,999 pokedollars drop each round. I believe meowth was around lvl 89-95 from LITERALLY just wild area candies at that point, he had no problem using Swift and Nasty plot to destroy every1
a quick thing to note the Pikachu you got is actually stronger than the one you could ever get in the wild also Light ball would have helped a lot with this challenge if you grinded for it. I think the lets go Eevee you can get in the pokemon games would be the same if you do an only Eevee run.
People don't tend to use the Light Ball because it makes Pikachu like, genuinely a really good pokemon, at least for the campaign
