Crowds Enjoy The Galway Races, Ireland 1981

Over 100,000 were in Ballybrit during race week leaving Galway City looking deserted at times.
Fashion and betting are all part of the Galway Races experience though it is not proving a good week for the punters.
It takes more than a recession to deter racegoers.
