I am sure they are, but the difference is people that buy reasonably priced shoes or cheap shoes as you noted, are not going bankrupt to buy their retail items or sacrificing some needed or wanted commodity in their life, at 625.00 dollars and up for a pair Christian L. shoes, that kind of money can always be put to better use, someone could put that money into their own business or stock ventures, that is a serious amount of $ not chump change like cheap shoes that cost 20.00 to 60.00 dollars
@MizzMarieB No, they're no more slippery than the next pair (on carpet fresh out of the box YES lol). But other wise once the soles have been scratch enough, they are completely fine. The sole savers have a good grip on them and worth the extra money to preserve the beauty of the shoe. :)

Well said! If a person can afford to spend this much on shoes, then there should be plenty of disposable income. Meaning, there should be plenty of money in the bank that is left to grow. Working 2.5 jobs means that there's probably no disposable income or money that could be used differently.
It's always great to see a Black woman who has fabulous things. I must say that while you're calling these shoes "investments" I hope you've equally invested in things such as your retirement or and emergency fund just in case you lose anyone of those 2 and a half jobs.

Christian Louboutin came out in 1991 and was featured in many sex and the city episodes over the years as far back as 1998 (14 years ago). It has been a well know brand amongst people who love fashion for many years. It has only recently become mainstream through movies like she's out of your league etc. It is her money if she wants to spend it on that, that is her choice. I think spending money on alcohol, junk food or cigarettes is stupid because you are slowly killing yourself.

Your pronunciation is off on the word Louboutin, which Mr. Louboutin would have a fit with (he's kind of snotty when it comes to his name's pronunciation). So if you ever get to meet Christian Louboutin, he'd probably snap at you for your pronunciation. As a heads up, it's pronounced "Loo-boo-tawn." I don't know how how to spell the example differently, so hopefully that makes sense. And I LOVE your collection!

There are many different styles and heel heights - he does make kitten heels and shoes that are more comfortable, they just aren't reflected in this video. I must say that it's a tad disappointing to hear that a pair of shoes that are that expensive may be uncomfortable. I badly want a pair of Loubou's and want to begin saving up for them. I was going to pick a staple piece such as a basic black or nude pump. I had in mine that they would be of good quality, long lasting, versatile and COMFORTABLE. Now, I'm not so sure I still want them if they don't have that comfort factor. *sigh*
