I knew Matt at Penn State--he lived in Hamilton Hall, across the hallway from me. Just a tremendous guy, and really really funny. This story broke my heart. I feel for his wife, Patty (who was his girlfriend at Penn State, and an All-American gymnast to boot) and his entire family. But Matt was a fighter 40 years ago, and frankly, he hasn't changed. He'll fight this disease on his terms. His outlook, his approach to life is very inspiring. Great guys don't change, they just become stronger and wiser. We R, Matt!
Exceptionally well done video! Matt's always been a competitor. He lived that way, he'll die that way - hopefully a long time from now. I watched him play from the student section when I attended Penn State. He was unstoppable. Truly a delight for fans.
My husband has cried because, he began building his work bench in the garage when he started having symptoms and in December was diagnosed with AL Amyloidosis. Your wood work made me cry, now 16 months later he is bedridden. I have written "Chasing the Cure" ...They have sent him home on hospice and I know there is more to do. I don't know who else to contact :(
My husband has this disease. You can get through this. You can survive. There is an Amyloidosis support group on Facebook for emotional support. I will pray for you.
As Howie Long said he was a pretty bad dude he had nothing but heart he went to the Raiders and blues Bruce Clark went to the Packers and Bruce Clark sucked Matt was a beast
Had to give this video a "thumbs down". Don't like this at all. Matt was one of my favorite players of all time. Hate seeing him and his family going through this. Wish him all the best and hope he gets that heart.
Class player,but more importantly CLASS PERSON....God Bless,Matt.
god bless you Matt Millen...you are a true warrior
Keep fighting Matt!

His outlook on life inspires me
I have much respect for this man, Matt Millen.
You are obviously not a Lion's fan.
I loved watching Matt Millen play. He was a real Raider..... those days are gone now.....
I've been there, Matt. Hopefully it comes soon. The first conscious breaths coming out of surgery are terrific.

"Lives simply"...shows gigantic, meticulous house/property
That house is almost 240 years old he rebuilt it from the ground up himself.
Biggest disgrace in football
He wasn't a linebacker at penn state , he was a lineman
I know , been a penn state fan for 50 years and also knew he played linebacker in the pros .
