- The second instalment of E.S.P. VOL 2 Expanded digs into the raw clips of Brandon Westgate. Brandon brought his east coast approach on the team's trips to Paris, NYC and Barcelona while filming for E.S.P. VOL 2 and that approach delivered the goods. This series is a rare look into the making of a full team skate video…This is E.S.P. VOL 2 Expanded.

Brandon is the epitome of what skateboarding should look like. So much pop and speed, doesn’t matter that he’s doing mostly basic tricks to todays standard. This is infinitely more entertaining then some half assed tech tricks on a ledge or a huge handrail. Buuuut, sadly most skaters will never understand this.

Westgate is one of my all-time favorites. When he skates, three things come to mind: speed, speed, and speed. His ollies are so damn perfect, it makes me think of Jimmy Wilkins (that's one hell of a compliment).

I remember seeing him skate IRL sometimes when he was a little kid on 5Boro I think it was. He was good then but his style and power grew to epic proportions once he grew up!

I remember when "stay gold" came out like thirteen years ago, Andrew Reynolds said that Brandon had the style of the future that everyone would have, fast and powerful. Unfortunately not more skaters skate like that now like he predicted but Brandon style is still just as good
I will never forget the look on his face when I pulled out his pro model shoe for Emerica took some photos and had them signed. Shout-out to Zumiez for that.

Saw him on one tour ripping this sad park we have in Finland Tampere but back then there really was noothing. They have now over the years developed quite a lot of parks where to actually do stuff. Well to be fair that one park Was one of the best parks for starter/casual skater for ledges and stuff but funny to watch real shredders confused on what interesting to do there 😅 Also used to see Jaakko Ojanen there as like a young teen since his older brother was at my years differend class what would be something like college so Jaakko was with his brother and his/their friends there sometimes. Told him once again yeears ago in a bus, super hammered how sick he is and going to places and then tripped on the floor.. 😅
