I like the way you edit the video and show the cleaned up version of your finds after each dig, without wasting time trying to clean on the live dig view.
Thanks for showing your inventory at the end including your trash. People starting out Metal Detecting need to understand that even on a good site your going to dig at least 30 to 50% trash and on a really trashy site it can be 60 to 80% trash, unless your only cherry picking the highest tones and then of course you could miss something special.
I'm fairly new to metal detecting, but it always amazes me how many memorial pennies are in the ground almost anywhere you go.

@@Cacherminnstars thanks for watching! On an average day I'll dig over a hundred targets, so I don't waste time trying to clean them (and damage them!) in the field. And you're right, when I started years ago I thought I was doing something wrong because I was finding so much trash, lol. Just part of the hobby...

Nice hunt! Was thinking maybe the oblong holed lead piece you found could be an ox knob? Thanks for posting - HH!

@@scotrpa I find quite a few ox knobs but never found one made of lead. I think it is a net weight.

I remember my best friend Paul taking me for a ride in a bug on a icey street long time ago. We were bouncing off curbs and spinning around. Those bugs were funny. We only 15. Same color bug. Rk

Could the lead device be one they put on horns of goats to prevent injury to other goats or herders. Those may be threaded, not sure, never seen one in person.

@@HistoryPackRat hard to say what it was, but I love finding the interesting stuff!
