Looks awesome! I got the Doom Pilgrim based off your original review. The art is so good!! Definitely agree about box sets being a dimension to another world. I try to keep all my solo material for each campaign stored in it's own little box or drawer for that reason.
Nice overview - thanks! That micro-game looks cool, will have to check that one out. I'm looking forward to the next Doom Pilgrim expansion - gonna be a while bunch of mini-card random encounters!
Amazing! I own doom pilgrim and love exploring the world. The little card may make some nice Christmas gift for my weirdo gaming friends. And the others could be nice to put on my own list!
Thanks very much for the awesome video, my friend! Can't wait to see what you will do with Grim Lands Adventure cards - in the hands of an experienced solo player like you, it can finally uncover its potential. :) (This is me trying for the second time to add comment here - hopefully it works, I don't know why most of the time my comments disappears - it happened many times before - I though it is when I add links, but I did not add any link this time and it happened again :D) I am also afraid I won't be able to answer you if you write to me here, as I am also unable to comment on the comments of others here, limited to one comment as it seems, at best... Boomer with social media, including TH-cam, hehe
I agree with you Daniel. Doom Pilgrim is dark and unique. So much is luck though. So easy to get afflicted. I would like to see a board game. I love the art on the box! A knight adventurer riding to some ruins! Let my imagination run ...
It's kind of beyond luck, in that it's supposed to emulate idle / clicker mobile games. Stuff just happens to you, and you roll with the punches and come up with a story.
I had previously seen this pop up on Facebook and thought it looked quite unique, the fantastic artwork really sells it for me and I love how compact it all is. I would love to create my own art cards to accompany some gamebooks somewhere down the line. I really enjoy your channel and I wondered if you might consider reviewing an indie gamebook?
@@TheDungeonDive I sent you an email recently, regarding a couple of new gamebooks, both of which are available on Amazon, if you wanted more info on either of them. If you didn't get my previous email I can send it out again. Thanks MJ
Well, the music for the intros I wrote and recorded to emulate old VHS logos. I would call it synth music, or ambient music. If you want to hear more of my ambient music, I’ve got a couple dozen albums on Bandcamp. carlsagansghost.bandcamp.com/music
Awesome art. Not my style. But still awesome. (of course, I say the same thing about Vincent van Gogh.) I'm always on the lookout for games that will help me come up with scenarios for encounters. This is one such game. I'm looking forward to your video to see how you use it. Now I have to go watch you review of the original game.
The big box is cardboard which is very acidic. As an example, when books are stored in cardboard boxes the pages will yellow. I wanted to preserve my cards as much as possible, short of sleeving them, and passed on the big box. But it looks cool. Thanks for mentioning the tin box version. :)

I do the same thing.
I'm not usually a fan of surreal art, but WaRclaw's art is perfect for that dark fantasy mood. The sci-fi inspired pieces are just as good.
Wow that's unique for sure, thanks for exploring these. I think the smaller decks will be nice for a stocking stuffer gift, thanks!
I agree! The smaller deck expansions are great for gifts.

It’s such cool world to play in.

I can read this one! :)
Great video! Looks like a fantastic game!
Whoa! This looks amazing!!

I love Doom Pilgrim. I purchased some art directly from him as well. Really nice guy and super responsive.

If the game looks interesting, and I have something interesting to say about it, I'll take a look, but I can't make any promises.

I saw the Doom Pilgrim pocket version crowd sale is happening, and that may be my entry point. I keep eyeing these games. 😅
Ok one question, what is the "type " of music in your intro, where can i enjoy more of it?

Dungeon synth* 👍

I've never had that happen with anything stored in a cardboard box.
Picked this up recently per your recommendation. Very dark. Loving it. Kinda a “end of the night cool down game” for me.
