What a treat to watch you go thru that box. 70-74 are my favorite years. Saw a couple of Bill Butler cards that have a painted on hat and a rookie trophy. Seeing this made me want to go to a flea market.

Freaking super sweet $10 shoebox of cards! That 71 topps cubs team card towards the beginning is one of my random favorite vintage cards.

Fun fun! I love that era. Looks like most were by team. Definitely some kid's childhood collection after the previous owner pulled out the hofs.

Great look through history...the most valuable were probably the scratch offs and the two kinds of WS cards. Also, funny to hear you try and pronounce old players names....Milt Pappas too funny.....

I think this was an awesome buy! I believe if broken up and sold right this lot could bring you back easily $100 to $200 profit - not a TON of money but anytime you can get ten to twenty times your cost .. well that's just good, right? and I believe its possible it could be higher!

If I ever want to unload my collection of 70s/80s/90s cards I know who to turn to. You'd have a blast sifting through my massive collection. You probably wouldn't find anything you've already seen or have, but the joy of chasing is there. Heck, I don't know what all I have because there's so many cards in my collection.

For $10 bucks you got another bargain there... I'm sure there are High Numbers in there too with the amount of 70-73's there are... Keep in mind some commons are highly desirable to set collectors and depending on their grade you can make some good money.... Look, that's why whenever I see brown I'm down - and it's one of the first questions I ask if I'm not around to buy a collection... "Are the cards brown or white".. Then of course "What year is on the back of the cards"..... Obviously everything after 1991 is white, everything before 91 is brown... So yea, if it's a brown collection I'm down, haha.... Of course I want nothing to do with 92-97 - all of those cards brick-up.. And I have tons of nightmares with what I'm going to do with the "foil" I did buy from that era......
Look man, I'm going to be the genius to figure out how to un-brick cards, I have numerous theories and enough product to test it on...I mean from a tax perspective it's a loss..... But dude, check it - my results will save your cards..
Dude there is a way.... The microwave doesn't work . so Imma try freezing and boiling water and just toss the pack into the boiling water to see what happens ...
    Flipping bricks, lol...

You know, I've seen 1971s in a lot worse condition, but maybe the camera covered a lot of the flaws (corners looked fairly sharp). You could keep the scratch-offs, break the rest into 3-4 100-count lots, maybe by year, and blow them out for 10 bucks a stack. Must've been picked, hardly any Reds. lol
