Democracy is a myth. We don't have it, nobody has it. Our workplace isn't democratic either. Public Policy isn't decided by public desire but by who has the most money to buy "representatives" through lobbying and other forms of persuasion. Lacking of Education leads the population of each country facing with poverty crisis..human act as if there us no soul no equlity right. I'm surprised no one raised the argument of favoritism. Once you have some parents donate, inherent bias is what it breeds. These children/parents can do no wrong. They can even start to dictate certain things, and even the management or teachers won't have a say.
Ensuring justice in education is crucial for creating an equitable society. Every student, regardless of their background, should have access to quality education that meets their unique needs and empowers them to succeed. It's essential that we address systemic barriers, provide adequate resources, and foster inclusive environments where all voices are heard. As I growing up in the different environments, Is so difficult for me to find out when and where you are waiting for the teacher to come and joined you, and you don’t know that what room is live , so the expectation is not fare enough, otherwise if I knew, i never missed the room. Thanks
In our modern societies, we are becoming increasingly split off from one another. Before this, communities always helped and cared for one another. Now, because western life has become so competitive and merit-based, we sadly see how many people in present day society care only for themselves. This is what Sandel is trying to show us.
y1 y2 I would put the extra money in teachers assistants so everyone can succeed and achieve /undecided because it should be applicable for all, not influent areas In Canada, a portion of our taxes is given to fund the education systems of their choice every year. I split mine between the two school boards as my children went to different schools The surplus is used for lunch programs and school supplies
the school board should be the ones who are distributing the funds I also think that the affluent can have private schools but the taxes should go to the public system

Anyone has only one ideas, so it’s very easy to handle, and manage the ideas, what about if you have more than hundreds of ideas, and you will not be able to divide yourself into hundreds of pieces to be in the different room’s.
Money is a necessity of life... The world will never be a perfect place it's not a Utopia.. I think one of the shortcomings of college students and even high school students.. Is that the value of education is not fully appreciated.. In America, Most college kids that go to university do not go on after graduation Into employment of the major they studied in. For example a business major Which is a practical field. May go on to be a cook.. What I'm getting at. Is the waste of money and time.. Why did someone spend so much money on something they were not going to get paid for.. We should get paid for our knowledge.. It has time and labor in it On a separate topic related to the discussion Many teachers don't advocate for students focusing on money. I think that's wrong.. Why shouldn't the students that go the extra mile receive recognition for the hard work.. That's how some scholarships are earned.. Of course you're going to have your winners and losers But then we need a lesson on sportsmanship we don't always get our way Even when we work really hard.. That's life might as well learn it in school. Why not? You know there's a line between being very kind as opposed to overly pampering children. They do have to toughen up a little bit.. Life will get hard sometimes and they have to be emotionally mature to face failure.. Why not have a discussion about having school? I saw many teachers that really care about their students with passion.. They love them I don't want to see them get hurt. Especially when they're young.. I don't either.. However Young people need a guiding hand.. We can be considerate . But The equality of outcome Should not sacrifice merit and Excellency.. We don't get paid to try We get paid doing the job right. Getting employed in a field which is not your major doesn't mean that it's a waste of time and effort. Eg: the cook,as you mentioned, can use his business degree to expand his restaurant business. 2.It's absolutely good to reward students but the recognition doesn't necessarily has to be monetary. I agree with prof. Sandel here 3.It's much more important to teach children to be optimistic and how to deal with life problems rather than categorizing them as loosers or winners based on certain results and telling them "that's life, deal with it". A "looser" can also be a "winner" in certain other field. It can also be said that merit and excellency should not sacrifice equality of opportunity especially at that young age where merit or excellency doesn't really matter. What matters is that children learn the purpose of education and inculcate the habit of learning new things! Feel free to debate:)
