    Thank you Jeff for your clear communication.
    To all reading this, I'm a newbie so any quick answers will be much appreciated.
    This overview presentation mentions three categories plus a 4th category might be the royalty category.
    I want to invest an equal amount of money in each of the 4 categories.
    What's the least amount of money (in each category) I need to invest to get started?
    Can I do this on my own or will I need a broker or brokerage?
    Thanks in advance for all helpfulness.
    Thanks again Jeff for your clear communication.

      I am not smart enough nor licensed enough to give advise. One suggestion I would make, though, is to be very careful who you trust on the internet. Especially when you're publicly asking important questions. People always have an agenda. Don't become the victim of that agenda.

    My 3 favorites are AEM, FSM, and Endeavour Mining. I also like Osisko Mining, but that one is going to take several years to pay off.. It has mind blowing drill results. Jaguar and Karora are very profitable without having taken on too much debt.

      @@ResourceTalks Keith Neumeyer (CEO)is well known in the silver community and he has an almost icon like status,and he's gunning to be the number one silver producer/miner in the industry and like Jeff Clark said when silver runs the leverage in this stock should take off like a rocket since this company is like the Newmont/Barrick of the silver mining arena so im betting wall street will naturally flock to this company if and when silver has a breakout.

    Given the enormous backlog at assay laboratories, Ascot still awaits results for 10,875 meters of drilling completed in 57 holes drilled this year. Assay results have taken much longer to process this year. It's going to be awhile.

    Sometimes it is interesting to revisit old speculations.
    14 months later, First Majestic and Cassiar are both down 35%; Ascot, the 90% chance of a 90% return in the first 18 months is down 50%.
    Is there any chance to have Mr. Clark back for a follow up please?

    • @ResourceTalks
      @ResourceTalks  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. It is helpful and much needed to follow up.
      I've done it before. Call someone back to confront them about picking the wrong companies. However, they always say "yeah, well the market is down, and I dabble in high-risk, high-reward stocks, so mine are down mor". I don't suspect the answer here would be any different. It's the nature of the beast. Commodities are cyclical, and in good times it doesn't matter that you picked up bad companies - they (nearly) all go up.

    • @DonRua
      @DonRua ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ResourceTalks I dare not say he was wrong. Just for periodic update and see his follow up base on existing market constraints. We will revisit again in 18 months.
      He did say he didn’t like the pick-3 question lol. He qualified one needed 10-15 to spread the risk. So he was not wrong at all.

    As was shown today, when the market tanks, the miners go with it. Maybe this isn't the real tanking of the market but it will come and I think shortly. When it happens, those who hold metals or miners will experience the pain along with the rest of the market. I'm thinking that for now, it's best to sit on the sidelines with dry powder (aka, cash)

      Using most valuation metrics First Majestic is overpriced. Some commentators assign that to the 'Keith Neumeyer effect' (he used to be a stock promoter). For me everything associated with KM is an avoid.

      Rick, I bought Pure Gold in 2020 and made a killing. I sold it and continued to follow it. Unfortunately, the rich ore 8 Zone is not going to be mined until year 4 of the mine plan. They did two unexpected capital raises in 2021 which diluted shareholders. On the other hand, AU, no slouches, holds a large interest in PG. I think PG is good in the long run, but that means 2026, and most people don't have that kind of patience.

Of course that is the cycle he is referring to. But he needs to be more clear in his talks that there are two stages to capture profits. (New investors are not catching on to this at first and I think that's what some of these comments are referring to. Pump and Dump referrals.) And then there is one cycle to pull out of...which he did mention in your interview. First time I've heard him say that. Heard Ross Beaty mention this (IIRC) the other day.
