Beautiful,,lovely scenery, well done,🤗
Thanks ❤️
very nice drone footage in this one!
The viaduct has its own video coming soon 👍
12 mins in.... RIP the Bridge Inn. due to become 20 or so canalside appartments. it would be nice if they kept the original pub building as part of the development, but unlikely they will.
Nice video, I live about 100 yards up the road from barkers lock and worked in Langley Mill for a while, I used to bike to and from work along that stretch of the canal
Thanks :) I spent 21 years in Trowell, so have many memories of it too :)
Good to see another canal video after a number of railway ones - but I might have known you'd get some disused rail infrastructure in this one!
Ha ha sorry lol. There are a few canal ones coming up. A new Chesterfield recently went on, another Chesterfield is due on tomorrow. More Erewash is filmed and also started the Rochdale too 😀
@@TrekkingExploration I'm not complaining!
14:08 Lock 71 after a chinwag with canal workers I was informed that lock is 18 feet deep, one of the deepest apparently.
its a common mistake there is no lock 14 on the Erewash Canal there are only 13 that particular lock at Langley mill is on the Cromford canal which originally joined with the Erewash Canal below where KFC is now, the Erewash Canal originally teminated at wharfs that were located where Lidls is now
Ilkeston fucking rocks ❤
I often ride all these local canals so it's really interesting to hear about the history of them and the river Erewash. Are they still talking of re-opening the canal for public access from Langley Mill bason to Cromford?
Morning, funnily enough I'm back on the Erewash walking and filming today 👍 Thanks for watching. The plan is for the Cromford to go all the way, it's a very long term thing sadly I've not really seen any progress for a long time.
Eastwood and Cossall remind you of anyone? a towering, literary genius perhaps?
Mr Lawrence 🙂
Please ditch the crappy music
