Don't worry u not alone. Alot of people actually think that way. Some people think south africans have wild animals has pets and that south africans are staving, when our country grows its own wheat and corn and even produces enough fruits for us and countries in Europe, Middle East, Singapore and US.

Lately South Africa had so many issues of security. Its not safe now. Though, western cape is comparatively secure, as its the tourism capital of SA.
Still, if you compare with Europe its unsafe.
