    Hi Sheeran, fantastic tutorial. I've set up the lambda with EFS with your help but right now my Lambda cannot reach my sagemaker endpoint for some reason. I always receive a timeout error. The endpoint tested via Sagemaker studio is responding so my assumption is that it may be related with the VPC/sec groups/networking. Can you give me a hint how to solve that?

      Thanks for stopping by billykovalsky. Can you make sure that the correct VPC & Subnet is configured? Also, please make sure that the correct lambda timeout value is set. I hope this helps. By the way, my name is Chirag. :)

    Hi, how do I upload other files? like I want to upload files from S3 to EFS for my lambda function to use (I want the data to persist)... here it's only how to install packages using terminal commands but how can I move data into EFS from S3 or from my local computer? Thanks for the great video!

    It passed, but with a tensorflow cases. When I was installing tensorflow on EFS there was a memory problem and the process was killed. I changed the instance type from t2.micro to t2.medium and it passed. And the second issue is that I tried to learn the ML model for the Sentimental analysis on movies reviews with one epoch. Timeout - 9 minutes. And it did not pass by timeout. Is tensorflow ML really used with lambda?

      @SrceCde  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for stopping by Андрей Куликов. One cannot use Lambda function to train the model, for that you can use Sagemaker or EC2 instance. One can use such library to serve as inference or perform smaller operations. I hope this answer your question. Please like, share & subscribe. :)

  • @chaitanyagupta4741
    @chaitanyagupta4741 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So what will happen if we terminate the EC2 instance? Will the installed packages still be there under /access/? And the lambda will continue. working?

    • @SrceCde
      @SrceCde  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for stopping by chaitanya gupta. The data will stay in the EFS. It's just that EFS will be unmounted. EC2 is purely used for uploading/transferring data to EFS. Yes, lambda will bit be affected. I hope this helps. Please like, share & subscribe. :)

      @@SrceCde So after following this video and importing numpy opencv in lambda function. I've integrated AWS API To my lambda function and passing image as you taught in AWS API TUTORIAL p6. But lambda function is unable to write to S3. API gets a response as "request timed out".
      Have you ever encountered such a problem or have you made a video including efs , lambda and s3?

    • @SrceCde
      @SrceCde  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      While you are using API Gateway, the lambda function should return the response within 29 seconds (It's a hard limit and cannot be increased). Else, API GW will return request timeout. If the purpose is to process the image and store on the S3 bucket then you might want to invoke API GW asynchronously. Here is the tutorial on the same: th-cam.com/video/kj0wH1g3DpQ/w-d-xo.html
      Also, please make sure that lambda is not getting a timeout. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. Please like, share & subscribe. :)

      @@SrceCde Actually the lambda function event is receiveing the data passed through API. But is isn't going past the line which contains s3.put_object.
      Do we have any VPC , acces point changes need to be made while using EFS with S3?

    • @SrceCde
      @SrceCde  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Got your point. By default, lambda will not be able to access S3 from VPC. Please navigate to VPC Management Console -> Endpoints -> Create Endpoint. Please select S3 as a service and the VPC that you have attached with your Lambda followed by Route Tables. Finally, configure the access; It can be Full Access or Custom access based on the requirement. And now you can test the lambda function again and it should work fine. I hope this helps.
