This is a very good presentation on "Rapture Theology & Pauline Apocalypticism. Understanding the apocalyptic & symbolic imagery of certain passages is very insightful and helpful. Pastor Richardson, Rightly dividing the word of truth is what you do well. You have a very balanced way of presenting the text & the context of difficult passages. Thank you, Pastor Richardson. God bless you, your family & your ministry.
'...It's not Him snatching us up outta the world and puttin' us in some insulated cubbyhole for 7 years and then sending us back when the coast is clear...' 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pastor Damon, what exactly does this scripture refer to? Act 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. In addition what about the earth being destroyed, and the elements burned with a fervent heat. After all the events, and wars even nuclear wouldn’t there need for a new heaven and a new earth descending out of heaven. Rev 21:I,2 What about God pouring out his wrath undiluted? Rev 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rom 5:9 says we will be saved from wrath through Him. Also scripture refers to more than two seized up (harpazo) the man child ( church) the two witnesses, and the144,000 that witness to Israel. Many believe the man child was Jesus but Jesus was never caught up or seized up. He ascended. [anabainó] In addition there are others mentioned that I will repost when I find them. Also, I agree the stars falling from heaven aren’t literal but their angelic beings. Scripture says this mortal body will put on immortality so at the parousia we will be changed. Since flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom isn’t that what happened with Elijah, and Enoch?
Grace and Peace to you, Brother Richardson. If I heard you correctly, then you expressed that you believe that neither the moon will turn to blood nor the sun go dark. Genesis 1:14 says that the sun, moon and stars are given to us for signs. For instance, according to Isaiah 7:14, the virgin birth of Jesus is a sign. How do you reconcile your rejection of a literal interpretation of Acts 2:20 with Genesis 1:14? Furthermore, if verses like Matthew 24:29 don't speak of a literal fulfillment of Genesis 1:14, then what types of signs should we expect from the sun, moon and stars?
The one verse has absolutely nothing to do with the other so no reconciliation is needed. If you are not familiar with apocalyptic imagery then you might think that what you are saying represents a biblical reading but it is in fact foreign to the biblical text.
One of the way I have heard rapturist explain their interpretation of Revelation as saying that you know the "secret" coming (i.e., rapture of the church) is biblical is on the basis that there is no further mention of the church after chapter 3. It would appear these individuals hold to the 7 churches of Asia Minor as spiritual representations of the whole church. Any thoughts on this?
Question, do you have a preterist view of Matthew 24, or do you believe it has dual prophetic significance? If it does have dual prophetic significance, does that mean you believe the events in the book of revelation pertaining to the beast and false prophet will occur again? Do you have any teaching on what you specifically believe pertaining to prophecy?
So basically we all have to become Bible scholars because most of us have not studied Greek and Hebrew and had no idea the Bible means nothing that we thought it meant 😢😢😊
Why would God have His church here when Hes pouring out His wrath on those who rejected Christ ? I really agree with what your saying bro . We can agree to disagree
I would say no one is correct in every area. That includes you and me. Overall I find Alan Parr to be a sound brother who loves the LORD. These are areas where people hold different views and I do not think will stop you from being saved
@PlowsharesintoSwords So if I do not get Baptized, what Jesus did for me on the cross is not enough to wash away my sons? So if I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart, that's not enough? Please educate me
@PlowsharesintoSwords Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and *slander* be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32 ESV Let us not be slanderous towards our brother in the Lord. Pastor John Mcarthur is also a dispensationalist. Is he also a wolf in sheep clothing? 🤨🤔
I dunno, this sounds like coming from the clouds, like from the air swooping down upon His enemies. Isaiah 11: 14 KJV But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. note note note
You are trying too hard to disprove what the word of God says. Too much theologising. You are deceived my brother. You will know tge truth when the Lord appears in the air!
Escapist theology is harmful, as it sets people for the expectation of not having to endure tribulation. Revelation was addressed to the church that was in the midst of tribulation. Christians have suffered since they have named the name of Christ, so why do we think we will escape.
So God is going to come when we least expected. You say, "When the world is going on as normal." That's going to be during the tribulation... nothing normal about that. The world's going to be in utter chaos! I just pray you're wrong.😬

“The Ark is a type of Christ!” beautiful message my good Brother. 💯💯💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

😂😂😂
Thanks for this clear and sober teaching. I have become aware that we have imposed a lot of ideas upon the text.
Whether your stand is pre-trib,mid-trib or post trib the more important issue is did you trust Jesus as your Savior?!
I love this Guy...Great teacher of the Word!!!

@@UrbanLogiaMinistries I appreciate your response, brother.
Why is the CSB your preferred Bible version?
This is what I teach in Discipleship Class when we get to speaking about revelation. I'm a pre-wrath Historist.

Love your teaching, but disagree with your assessment of the rapture of the church.
Too much learning has made you mad. I prefer to take the literal meaning of the passage, prophecy of the first coming was also very literal.
How do you feel about the millennium?
Alan Parr (the beat family) on you tube teaching that rapture nonsense. Thank God for your teaching.
