@royalblood22 you need to realise that god created the sun and without it we would be thrown in ice age. plants and many animals that rely on sunlight would perish and so would humans who need both animals and plants to survive. so we need it to exist. in addtion, when i hear this song the hopefull message i get is that although times are bad right now for me the sun will shine again on my life and bring joy. its an expression not to be taken so litterally.
The lyric 'when I have myself a drink' means when you drink and eat God's goodness.
