Express Train 38 stops at Tan Yong Mat Railway Station, Narathiwat, in the afternoon,12 March 2024.

The train is headed by an older diesel engine, General Electric No. 4529. The train starts at the Malaysian Border in Sungai-Kolok then at Hat Yai it will have a more modern engine attached for the overnight service to Krung Thep Apiwat Station in Bangkok,
