    Glucose-T has been discontinued, but Glucose-D is very similar and can be used as alternate thickener

    Unpreserved personal care products can spoil quickly (bacteria and mold degrade ingredients quickly) and can be harmful as they can induce skin infections. Therefore, we highly recommend to add preservatives to any personal care product that contains water. There are also natural preservatives available although they provide a much shorter shelf life than synthetic ones.

    The foam makers are the surfactants such as Sulfosuccinate (surfactant), Coco Betaine (surfactant), and Polyglucose (surfactant)

    The total content of surfactants in this recipe is 30%. Each surfactant has an active % of about 40-50%

  • @Makingcosmetics
    @Makingcosmetics  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Theoretically, xanthan gum can be used instead of Glucose-T. The concentration should be aroudd 0.2-0.6%. However, it needs to be tested whether the thickening effect will be similar to Glucose-T

  • @Makingcosmetics
    @Makingcosmetics  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Since the formula doesn't contain any emulsifier but just surfactant oils can be added only at a very limited amount (e.g. 1-5%)

    Polyquaternium-10 is not a replacement for Glucose-T or D, as polyquaternium is a conditioner whereas GLucose-T and D are thickeners.

    Hi, You have a great product. I have a question, Could a liquid soap made with Olive Oil and Coconut Oil can be modified adding some of your ingredients by Making Cosmetics to make a Shampo. I've added other components and when you wash your hair when you rinse it with water it leaves your hair kind of sticky. Can I add some of your products to resolve it. Thanks. Best Regards Hugo

    Provided the manufacturing process is done under very clean conditions (e.g. all utensils and containers are disinfected with isopropyl alcohol before use) and the preservative (phenoxyethanol-SA) is used at the correct concentration, the shampoo should have a shelf life of about 4-8 months.
