    📝 ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Do you ever have trouble programming kicks?
When it comes to programming drums, I usually like to leave my kicks until after the hats and the snares/claps because of the many possibilities they have for placement.
Kick placement can influence the entire vibe of a drum groove, so I like to listen to what I have and then decide where the kicks make the most sense to finish out the expression I'm going for and to leave room for a vocalist.
Unfortunately, kick programming can be a bit frustrating because it is so subjective. Still, if you use Studio One in this week's video, I want to share a helpful Studio One secret feature that can help your program kicks faster!

It is not. Currently, the only place to pick it up is at my site: www.IvanCalderon.com/macrotoolbar

It’s easier to program in pattern mode and convert and convert to midi then humanise. The way you do it is clunky

Only thing I hate about HipHop beats today is trap hats (hihat rolls) and 808s. 😑

HipHop beats have lost their way in this sense. Better to stick with traditional Boom Bap beats. 👌
