I have a chat with vocalist Zkye (@zkyecompson-harris422) and bass player Damien (@bassgoose) about the latest @singitliveworld recording of a Sheryl Crow classic 'If It Makes You Happy'.
We chat all things song/recording related and how they both had the pleasure of seeing her 2 nights in a row in Nashville. What a hoot!

Brilliant.. Damien is a cool guy and funny. I always think of him as a really serious dude.

I love that we have the same banter in our sessions, multiple starts/takes, the jokes that comes out.. We've been having a blast. It's still so interesting that you guys amp up in the studio though.. I wonder if Darren has to break apart the stems for each instrument, or if the rejection on those mics is good enough that you don't get too much noise in them. I use AI to get the drums out of all the vocal mics for our mixes.
Zyke killed it on this cover, and Darren was right about it being "scary" good.. I said something like that to our crew for our REO speedwagon cover.. sometimes it just "comes together" in freaky good ways.
So cool to see you guys interacting and take ideas one to another. It's a very interesting side.

Crafty, what guitar are you playing for this song? I thought it was a Gibson 335 but in this video I can’t quite see the headstock. Incredible tone, probably my favorite tone of yours in these videos so far.
