Not sure if you’ve seen some of the cat related essences, but I can 100% say with full certainty that cats are the most busted thing you can make in this game second only MAYBE to Sun and Flower builds. There are some INSANE things you can do with cat related essences. I know you pointed out that cats have a lot of synergy, but, if you haven’t seen ALL of it, you’re probably still in for a major surprise.
Unrelatedly, it's worth noting (And fun to calculate) that arrows point to an average of 1.65 tiles. With no other considerations and the only alternative being more cultists, the optimal number of gold arrows is 4 (And lot fewer with worse arrows)

Vertical points to 1.5 on average, horizontal 2.5, and diagonal ~1.083 (9 tiles point to 0, 7 point to 1, 5 point to 2, and 3 point to 3). There are four diagonals, two verticals, and two horizontals; so the total average is going to be (1.5 x 2 + 2.5 x 2 + 1.083 x 4)/8 The optimal number is still 4, but just barely ahead of 3 (And pretty much any external modifiers reduce the effective value of arrows)
Made a billion on floor 8 yesterday, thers at item that kills you at that amount that i obtained. Wild stuff. Used rabits/'furs with passives and golden arrows with a couple beast masters
I have an idea for someone to mod in for luck be the landlord: Similar to reroll and delete tokens, you get theme tokens. Theme tokens can be used to acquire specific rolls. Depending on the rarity of the item will consume more theme tokens to find further items. Commons need 1 token, uncommon requires 2, rare takes 3, very rare takes 4. You can also spend 3 tokens to try to gain a specific passive item that makes your synergy work better. The rolls will still be random, but at least it will narrow the searching down a bit. You gain only 1 theme token per rent paid afterwards.
@@john_titor1 I was just spit-balling ideas. Themes do not grant EXACT rolls you need tho. For example, the Forest theme focuses on plants such as flowers, bees, and seeds, but also beasts while farmer focuses also on bees and flowers, but with fruits, farmers and livestock. But i do agree, 5 is more appropriate for it and maybe make it only once per game.
Man it would have been cool if you did get the electch monster and then tried pivoting to cats as if the cats won in the cult and where the true master minds summoning the horror to do thier bidding. Just would have been a funny take
The Diver is my favorite of the eaters because he triggers the effects of Sand Dollar, Jellyfish and Pufferfish. Really really good value engine

Black cat essence with lollipop item is so fun. Just have an amethyst and then dames eventually to keep scaling and it got so nuts

The most broken combos I've seen, are amethyst and pear. Gemstones themselves are a fun build too, if you can avoid getting full of low value rocks

honestly, eldritch would mostly make the run less strong, at least _for a long time_
What's neat about the Eldritch Horror is that it counts all symbols removed previously, so every new one gives you just as much.
