Completely agree about that electric yellow shade in Lauren's palette! I've seen so many people say they don't like it or know how to use it & I'm like NO WAY! It makes so much sense to me! A bright yellow matte on the inner corner just doesn't do what I want it to & a shimmer also doesn't do what I want it to! I am 100% picking up Lauren's palette. Not even a second thought. The other two I just can't do because I have all of those tones so many times over.
!!! This. Electric yellow is one of my favorite shades and it is mad difficult to find a really good one. I'm considering the palette just for that; I can believe in odens eye to do it well.

Yes finally! I've had problems with the palettes. Particularly with cats breath where I couldn't even use the shimmers and got no payout and in Annette's palette with that cool toned muted sparkly lilac. Also can't use that one 😭. When I try and use any of their shimmers I do have to dig in my brush
What really impresses me is that Norn's final row of shimmers seems to be good for everyone, but the first shade from left to right in my palette is just disgusting. It looks like an emulsion! And, since day one! I cannot use it. Also, many shimmers with hardpan in that palette and the two middle shades from Urd. This is why I did not pick the Christmas palettes. Around $80.00, for two after just one use hardpanning eyeshadows. No thanks! I was temted by the Makeup just for fun palette, but I will not buy it. Also, their prices have increased a lot. I will never forget how they removed Paulina beauty from their PR list, just because she told the truth about their quality. I don't really understand why creators rave so much about this hit or miss quality eyeshadows and highlighters. My Hummingbird palette is untouched, because I am thinking about selling it. I do not want to take the risk of using it and then being unable to use it more. I have the Hela palette because of Angie and my passion for greens, but I almost didn't buy it. They rely on their packaging, color stories, and, as Morphe once did, on influencers but not on quality. Also, the way they have managed limited editions. OMG! I was one of those people that saw their replies making believe people that the Christmas palettes would be available until December 31, but without explaining the sold out rule. That was why many were mad at them. When those and Giant Wolves were almost sold out, they didn't tell the public. They are never clear and transparent! People defend this brand in a way I never saw before. Poor BH Cosmetics that really deserved far better. It is only makeup, but it is also how do you manage things. Eventhough I didn't care that much about those items, I can understand the reaction the public had back then. Also, many are complaining about the single eyeshadow quality. If they continue with this behavior, the future wouldn't be good for them. I have seem creators aren't that honest about this brand. You can clearly see the hardpan in the eyeshadows while they say those shimmers are beautiful. Norns was such an overhyped palette with quality deficiency. I am happy to see that Annette finally had the courage to be honest about this brand as she seems to be with the rest, no matter if she receives PR or not, and even collab with them. Thanks Annette!
i read about hardpan with OE shadows but have never experienced it and i have all of their recent palettes! some of my friends get hardpan but its never that bad. but i also feel like OE is unfairly dogpiled on in the beauty community sometimes. especially on reddit
You can easily fix hard pan in any palette using scotch tape. Put the tape on the offending shadow and it'll lift the hard pan and leave the good stuff behind.
This is not always true with oe shimmers unfortunately 🥺 I believe they have too much binder in some of their shimmer formulas, making them hardpan immediately. Sadly the scotch tape doesn't help. What I do is use a spoolie to gently scrape up some product & then use. Or I use a flat synthetic brush & really grind it in there to rough it up. This has been an ongoing issue with oe since the very beginning. In almost every single post (on i-g) I write in my caption about this & tag the brand. I know I'm not the only one, but for some reason they haven't fixed this issue yet. Maybe one day! 🤞
I'm so glad you started with a green eye....I see all these gorgeous greens and blues and purples, but people end up doing a more muted look with browns, pinks, oranges....❤ but you sure do the 'dramatic eye'!.. but yeah..you got Lauren down right with the pop of bright lime green in the inner corner of a brown/bronze eye (which I loved by the way!!) ❤👍👍
I REALLY really appreciate how you put multiple days into your videos. Many sit down and do a look as a review but with your videos you put a lot into them. U said took you two weeks to do the video. I don’t think ppl realize just how much that takes from you. So thank u so much !! It helps to see many many looks from diff days
I have to keep reminding myself that it's ridiculous to buy Lauren's palette primarily for that yellow, but man, that yellow! That's the palette I could see myself reaching for most, especially as it warms up and we transition into mermaid season.

That shade Electric Kelp in Sea Talk is so perfect. I tried it in my inner corner and WOW it’s something I would never have thought of or tried and now I want to use it over and over. I picked up Flora Story and Sea Talk. I love Betty Jean so much but I wouldn’t have used her palette. It is gorgeous though ❤I love 💕 all your looks.
Hello Annette! I picked up 9 singles from Oden's Eye. I really do enjoy them, they are sparkly heaven! I also picked up the Unearthly Valentines Day mystery box and the Adept Inspired palette! I am just now swatching the Surrender palette from Unearthly!
YUP, that’s exactly what Lauren would do. 😂 I love all these looks, feel the same about the brighter palette. I really want Lauren’s- both to support her and I love odens eye. Haven’t yet gotten over the fact that I missed both their Christmas palette releases and they were both SO beautiful, I wanted the Christmas even one most but both really. This is so well deserved for Lauren. That palette was SO well thought out from how she explained her thought process in her video.

I personally wish the ocean themed palette had more blue shades and or colors. The ocean could really include every color lol. Browns aren't my jam though so that's why. I completely understand that I'm in the minority with that.

My favorite is the last palette with that minty green color. That's a juicy color but I would never wear such a dramatic dark look. Even to go out I would still not pair with such dark teal (love teal btw, but lighter shade). I would have liked to see a more cohesive color story like if it was "under the sea" mermaid 🧜♀️ story, the blues that would work better would be that beautiful navy, a purple (NOT plum or orchid), and pink. And yellow, please, and orange for that splash of color.

I have been waiting for Amanda to have a Collab palette and I don't want why I hadn't been anticipating one for Lauren with all the BYOP or dupe the vibe videos she does. I have Betty Jeans others two palettes and I'm excited for all three of them. I would love to support all three ladies but we'll see if it's written in the stars. If I miss out, I know Oden's eye has 0 issues with selling out. So I know all three of them will have plenty of support and I could not be more excited for them either way~

I've never tried it with Odens Eye shimmers, I didn't realize they were different. I only know it's worked for me with different brands before.

The thing about her palette is OE has FIVE other palettes with a bright fiery orange/red combined with a teal. It was the least unique of the three.
I bought 2 of the multicrome and 10 of the other eyeshadow and I love them. Always get compliments on them.
