    Johnny is the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place. I had the LAMF album and played it so much I knew every note on every song.

    Thanks for posting this. This has a lot footage I haven't seen and I thought I'd seen it all. I've been listening to Johnny/Dolls/Heartbreakers for 45 years. Seen him live a few times met him once. Best show I ever saw. Glad that Walter did well for himself. Rest In Peace deceased Dolls and Heartbreakers.

      @@deranged_nubreedaye it’s a drag. I’ve had so many problems with copyright issues over thunders stuff. I nearly lost my channel over it, gave up putting stuff up for a few years. Then when I put up the mondo series a few months ago I got hit again. I had to take vol. 19 down. It was Paul Tschinkel last time. He’s a rag. Wish I had downloaded your vids before they were taken down, but I just thought it was me they picked on … “why do all the rags always pick on me.” From Hurtin’ 😅.

      @@tylerdouglas480 They did shows because they had such a good fan base in the UK. When they first come over they were shit hot, like Wow!! Then I kinda wish I hadn't have seen the later shows, they were so f*ucked up it was just sad watching JT & JN. They come on do a few songs then go off & come back on say an hour later totally whacked out. The audience's started to feel insulted & rightly so, the last time I saw them can't have been 100 people who turned up.

      I’m glad to have seen him touring in 83 I believe ? (He was on tour in Sweden at the time, with his share of chaos that sadly surrounded him& the band often course of fans wanna be cool & give them drugs! )😤😡! But where we saw him& Jerry with Hanoi Rocks! No heavy drugs in the woods where They played!! So great show of both bands!! He came up beside me as I watch Hanoi Playing, stood there for a moment before I realized that the man in the hat was Johnny!( I was 16 at the time!) I’m 172 cm tall/short! But JT made me feel a bit taller!😁! No, wasn’t Thinkin of that! It was fun to see them, cause shortly after it went south fast! He fell off the stage on a tv -show , so No tv for him at all! 🏴‍☠️😎🥳! JOHNNY, had a tough cookie to chew at times! Keeping a habit Up at the same time survive on a music carrier! That’s rough if you’re not a multimillionare! Even then! Johnny rocks!!❤❤👊👊🏴‍☠️😎

    0:19 Anyone know what these club owners paid on average in that era? unknown band but had a following? well known band who you know would fill the club? I bet plenty here know, I just find it interesting. For a guy who wanted to be known as a smart poet Hell sure is VERY inarticulate here!

    • @baronsaturday2103
      @baronsaturday2103 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe around $500/1500 or maybe more. Wayne Kramer talks about getting a few thousand doing some shows with Gangwar. And at the end of his life Thunders made a lot of money with a short tour in Japan, he got around $50.000.
