Holy cow dude… It is amazing how much of your dad I see in you. I guess that is why you are one of the only influencers I care to watch. Mad props to your dad met him at lake Russell SC in 98. Truly a class act.
@@ScottMartinChallenge good luck this year, would love to see you put the feather on the Martin cap. Go get that Classic trophy for dad and remember he did awesome on Russell in 98 on the spinner bait one damn down…
Absolutely love all of your videos. The fact that you take your time not only to film whatchu love to do but also take the time to educate others. I fish tournament’s around locally here in Ga an most of the fisherman I fish around won’t even share a color they use. So being able to watch your videos along with Hilarys. Y’all have helped me tweak my style just enough to have an advantage over the guys I fish with. An as a woman that is huge to me. Thank you. Please keep doin what you do.
One of the better educational videos you've done in a while. I definitely prefer the sharing info and showing it in practice over sitting in a garage and talking about what works.
I watch a ton of different videos on all sorts of things about fishing. I feel I have a general idea of most as well. I got to say this video here has got to be the best one. I feel it hit every angle that I could ask for. Tips, just fishing, fun, and gear. Thanks
I fish Lake Hartwell’s transition banks this time a year with a crankbait or a jerkbait typically. . . especially those setup with a slow fall - add lead strips as necessary!
Thank you for putting this knowledge out there. I'm a weekend angler that doesn't get to devote the time on the water like I wish, so these knowledge drops are a huge key to helping my days on the water be more successful! Now go get that Classic win on Hartwell! (since it looks like you're graphing Hartwell)
Ty for this scott! This is where i struggle and how u explained things and showed us was great. I might be getting a Triton Boat today and taking it out and this is going to hopefully put me on them! God Bless you Scott!
I have an ancient (late 1970s) Storm deep-diving crankbait as I recall it was called a perch pattern - it's yellow and orange and green anyway - that is a knockout it transitions between large and small rocks. I've even caught rainbow trout on the stinkin' thing bankfishing at a local pond.
Again, great information of transition banks and how to fish them. The way you explain all aspects makes it much easier to understand the overall approach. On another note and hate to keep hounding but I still haven't received any communication with Macoy on the boats. This will be the last time I bring it up. Thanks Rick
Scott ,My absolute Diehard Favorite way to Transition bank catch channel cats is to Texas Rig a hot dog or a sausage bite size on a J hook and let it sit on the bottom as i let the scent travel. Scott i have learned so much about fishing from watching you , That you make me want to make a vid and share it on youtube about what i learned from watching you about bank fishing sir. That i could honestly spend all day and night BINGE watching scott martin to learn and improve so i cant get better at the sport of fishing.
@@ScottMartinChallenge youre welcome sir ,Bro youre on my absolute Diehard faverite anglers that i love watching so much that im just like if i cant watch scott martin then its like theres no point of me watching fishing vids at all if i cant watch scott martin and learn.
Long before the technology of today I would look at the changes in the banks when there was only for flashers . It worked back then as it does now.thanks for the memories of learning valuable lessons then and now. Still have a flasher on the front of my old ranger boat and if it don't run I don't fish!
Such an awesome video 👍 I realized a ways back if I ever want to compete in multiple tournament fishing circuits I’d better pay close attention to Scott Martin 🎣🇨🇦
Hey Scott I love the videos I fish bfl my home lake is Sam Rayburn and you are the one who got me started and taught me how to fish different things and you will always be my favorite pro
Awesome textbook stuff in action! Can't beat the smaller bandito as a trailer on smallmouth and spots! That last spot you caught was kind of smallmouthy..Maybe a hybrid?Awesome stuff!
I'm glad I've found your videos Scott!! Not only because its great fishing content, but you're jus a cool dude man. Plus, I now wanna fish a tournament or 3 haha
mini recon is my favorite! i actually caught them like you did on a lake back home in TN on the Mud bug. This video helped me see alot for the future in using livescope with my kayak!
How do you know when to set the hook? I watch you reel then pause and then the boat flip lol. Does your line twitch or do you feel the fish running with the line, or what. I don’t do a lot of bass fishing and would love to do more of it and learn more about. Just curious
Again Great job Mr Martin your videos are always awesome. One question I have and haven’t been able to find anywhere on TH-cam.. How does PanOptics do when you don’t generally fish rocky lakes , and generally fish big weeds/weed beds in the northern lakes. Trying to make sure we buy the best optics for where we fish, but can’t find videos that show fish in weed beds or have to focus on deep weeds or such. Any thing you can share on those points would be amazing. Thanks again for your amazing videos sir keep it up.
Your and your pops are the Man!!! All the way in Detroit!! I'm working my ass off to get an opportunity to fish along side of you one day 🙌💪 hopefully sooner than later 🎣😉👊🙏
Cannot wait the ice gone and go try fishing the transition bank. I still need a livescope though, lvs32 transducer with the black box is too expensive.
Excellent video ! Awesome tip Scott ! I like using a crankbait that has the color of a crawfish too. I guess you taught Hilary this tip also. Good luck and best wishes on your next fishing trip ! P. S. you didn`t tell whether that crankbait was a swallow running crankbait or deep runnung, i would think swallow running anywhere from 2 to 4 foot deep, also another way of keep that bait from getting moss on it is too crank and stop for a couple of second , then start again as oppose to jerking the bait to clean it off.
If thats the lake I think it is you gonna want to look for red clay banks as well they like hiding in the holes the water makes in them. looks to me like you are practicing for the classic.
I like listening to you an can't wait to follow the tournaments an I realize you need points but I think you gotta take more chances but it's up to you my opinion an I know it costs you money
They catching big bags on the Florida swing I hope your getting your practice in elites start soon!! Stop filming and get serious! Gonna be rooting for you, good luck 🍀

Something about that last fish catch brought the Roland out! Great video!
I was thinking the same thing when the video first started like the first 6 mins or so
Lol thought that myself..

I'm subscribed, and proud of it. Retired now, and I need to get back to some fishing! You are inspiring me to do so. Thanks Scott.
This may be the most detailed explanation of transitions I've come across. Thanks for sharing!

When it warms up, you need to make a trip to Indiana for some fishing Scott.

Usually a Wiggle Wart and a 3/8 oz Arkie jig are my go-to early spring
Great choice
Pretty sure that’s hartwell my home lake so always love a tip for that lake
Ready to get back on the water next week and try this again! Always fish transition banks but this helps even more! Thanks Scott!✌🏻🤙🏻💪🏻

Loons, egrets, spotted bass are you hanging out at lake Lanier or are you practicing up at Heartwell? Thanks for the tips either way
Scott and the Boys 🤘🏽💀🤘🏽
Hey hey 👋🏼
In Kansas they don't draw them down!! Someday before I'm no more I'd like to fish Lake O here in Florida.
WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU DO A VIDEO ON SECONDARY POINTS
Is that a boat or a spaceship? Great video man!
Have you ever fished Logan Martin in Alabama? I am going to fish a tournament in March and never fished it before.
Thxs for the time sir!
Does this work in windy conditions as well or is this more of a calm weather fishing tactic. Great video very informative
I would imagine if it's windy and it's got the water turned around you'd want something a little more flashy and turbulent, chatter sit/click bait
Crankbaits would be best
Good stuff
Yes. Bring back the cinematic releases!! Lol spinnerworm made the best cinematic releases!
I don’t think macoy even knows what I am talking about when I say it…lol😂😂
Great color combination on that clothing your wearing. and they look comfortable..feet look cold 😂...great info🤞
If thats the lake I think it is you gonna want to look for red clay banks as well they like hiding in the holes the water makes in them. looks to me like you are practicing for the classic.
Man I'm dying up here in VA. Good grief I gotta get out!
Great explanation Scott!! When are we going fishing together ❤️, Ha know better. Great video 📹 👍
Was this on hartwell?
I like listening to you an can't wait to follow the tournaments an I realize you need points but I think you gotta take more chances but it's up to you my opinion an I know it costs you money
Im having tournament fishing withdrawals. Hopefully i can meet you at an event this year.
Yea I know where you’re at 😜 Scott rhyme with spot rhymes with hotwell
Fish on!!!
They catching big bags on the Florida swing I hope your getting your practice in elites start soon!! Stop filming and get serious! Gonna be rooting for you, good luck 🍀

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to sit down and watch a full video and take all the information in

Have you ever thought about fishing in arizona at all?
