The SK at the end of the video is in my opinion the nicest one.

Fantastic review, Catus! I mainly use my Craftsman breaker 1/4" drive to hold bolt heads that nothing else can get on when I torque the nut side.

Hey Catus, can you do a video on hose pinch off pliers and the smaller hose pinch off clamps? Maybe a comparison?

Info on old plomb stuff. I notice your little breaker bar is actually a 2nd. I can tell this because the arrows on either end of the plomb name are pointing opposite directions. When one arrow points up and the other arrow points down this is supposed to indicate it was a defect or "2nd". I may be wrong but I have always known that was the case. If not it my have something to do with lower tolerance tools made during WW2.

For some reason in 1/4" I've always considered them flex handles.
My absolute favorite 1/4 flex handle is the WRIGHT tool 2435, it's probably one of the sturdiest you'll find. Maybe not great as others for super right spaces, but it'll fit anywhere a ratchet will
Remember PLVMB ( PLOMB ) is not the same as PLUMB who made banners and axes...ect.

I quite like their contour grip series .
The heads are very small, grips are extremely comfortable, and they have a light smooth action.
The handles are slick though and they do have decent anvil play, but that's never been an issue for me.

Beeaker bars and t handles are great to use with TTY (torque to yeild) fasteners. 1/4" ones would be for ones with less torque i guess.

Adjusting rocker arms, setting the lash on older engines, don't have to keep reversing a ratchet is what I use my 1/4 breaker bar for.

No sense in wearing out the internals of a ratchet bearing your full weight down on it trying to break a fastener loose.
Although, I do agree that 1/4” drive breaker bars are kinda silly. T handles could be useful and drive handles as well. But for the most part, if you can’t get a 1/4 drive fastener out with even a cheap ratchet, something’s wrong lol

Same, I never really understood the point of 1/4" breaker bars with all the other options available to access small fasteners.

I have an old craftsman one like the third one you touched.
P.S if one of the breaker bars has a big enough hole at the end, a screwdriver can make it a T-handle.

I spent 20 years with a major tool company and we did make 1/4 breaker bars but NEVER ONCE did I see or hear of one being sold! The only hand tool that would more useless would be a 1/4 drive T handle! Neither of these make zero sense!

    • @AndrewDasilvaPLT

"neither of these make zero sense!" 🤔😏😏
T handle with extension is fantastic in a moto tool pack to be able to do most of your wrenching with.
Machinists or metal assembly with torque settings spins a bolt on or off, then torqued with torque wrench.
