It's almost like he's the precursor for liberals. All them motherfuckers from California lie and he was the first one. I love how they used the picture of Brock versus Hogan but I thought I remember Hogan getting his ass beat by Brock which made me smile. I hate hulk Hogan with a passion just because he's boring. I don't give a shit about his scandal, that's his private life that was nobody's business. His move set was always just so boring. Ooh a leg drop it's so devastating. A fucking chokeslam is way more devastating than that. I am so glad that the Undertaker replaced him as the guy in the company. The only wrestler that could ever throw a punch that made it look like he was beating the absolute hell out of somebody and he never really injured anybody. Apart from freak accidents that couldn't have been avoided like Shawn Michaels landing on his back on the apron because he went over the ropes wrong, or Mick Foley just being insane and saying throw me off a fucking cage. I still can't believe that man is alive. It's a miracle clearly that he's not severely damaged mentally. I miss the attitude era

I'm so glad you mentioned Sting. I'm a mark for Sting and I did some digging and discovered that Hogan never put Sting over clean in the handful of matches they had. Hell, even their first solo match didn't occur until Starrcade (except for some one-off on Nitro that was more Sting trying to talk to Darkside Hogan), despite the fact that Sting was the homegrown hero and it was totally feasible that they should've been both in the main event scene from the day Hogan arrived. To my knowledge, Sting's never said a word against Hogan and is even very complimentary of him...but after so many stories spread over decades of in-ring work...he's either being snowed or he's just not airing any dirty laundry about the whole thing.

People will point to their StarrCade match and say “Sting got the dub and walked away with the title”, but in the end, he got fucking buried. Hogan literally pinned him clean in a squash and got jobbed by Bret Hart who God knows where he had any authority to restart the match in the first place (since he was never officially named ringside enforcer and just happened to be AT ringside during that match) that clearly never should’ve been restarted to begin with since it wasn’t a fast count as we all very much know and saw.

OKAY....Hear me out on a finish to the match between Hogan and Austin that would have worked for both men and probably left us all happy to boot. Hogan. Turns face and someone listens to Austin about the bad idea of having him lose to Brock for free on raw so he dosnt leave. We get to the build up for SummerSlam. For some reason Austin and Hogan are in a tag team match. Austin tells Hogan he dosnt like him or trust him but he respects him, Hogan gives Austin the same. In the match there is a communications issue. Hogan costs Austin the match.
Next week we get a face to face in the ring Hogan keeps trying to tell him it was a mistake, Austin ain't hearing it. They get put into another match. Before the match we see Hogan talking to McMahon. Vince tells him he can't trust Austin. Hogan basically tells Vince to go pound sand but the damage has been done cause Austin saw them talking. During the match another communication issue costs them the match. This leads to another face to face the next week. Before that happens we see Vince trying to talk to Austin. Vince is telling him he can't trust Hogan. Talks about how he thought he could but Hogan stabbed him in the back. He testified against Vince, he jumped to wcw and when Vince tried to reconnect and bring him back Hogan could do what he was brought back to do and kill the wwe with the nWo. We get to the face to face and both Hogan and Austin are not just ripping into each other but also using Vinces own points against each other. This leads to Hogan Austin at SummerSlam. Neither man is heel they just don't like each other. We get a decent back and forth brawl between the two. We get some shenanigans with Vince coming down to the ring fist trying to screw Austin but Hogan won't accept Vinces help. Then Vince tries to screw Hogan and Austin stops him. At some point the 2 legends realize they have been played and they stop fighting each other and they just beat the piss out of Vince. Match ends in a no contest. Beer bash. Austin flips Hogan off but then laughs and shakes his hand. Hogan then does his poses in the ring.
    Thoughts?

In no way do I believe Hogan's version of the story of him and Shawn. Considering the selling Shawn was giving in that match, the promo definitely was because of something Hogan did (obviously refusing to do the job). Acting like the promo was why he wouldn't do the job just makes zero sense, knowing the timeline of events. Shawn may have been an asshole in his early days, but post-first retirement Shawn feels like the kind of person who also would tell people to not act like he used to and wouldn't be afraid to call out someone who did act like that, so I definitely believe that story.

You haven’t a clue what you are talking about when it comes to the Sting thing. Sting has said this, he didn’t want to win the match or the belt as he was having an addiction issue and he didn’t want the added stress but Hogan owing to the buildup didn’t think it made sense to have himself win, so used his creative control to have Sting win, the compromise was one of WCWs favorite ways to finish a high profile match: the Dusty finish, which has a false finish, Dusty loved this finish as he believed it added drama to the match. If you watch the match Sting doesn’t seem to be in it 100% and is very out of shape and looks exhausted. This is all from the mouths of both Sting and Eric Bischoff… notice Hogan had no issue losing to Billy Kidman or Arn Anderson in WCW, I don’t mention Paul Wight or Goldberg because Hogan was behind their pushes and he was basically their mentor.

Hogan just didn’t want to lose clean so he played his politics. And hogan going over Billy Kidman is a joke cause hogan was a nobody by then as WCW was in ruins. When it came time to give back to the business, no one did less then hogan. He couldn’t even let flair or savage win one match in all matchups. That’s how insecure he was.
