I remember feeling so heart-broken when I first saw this episode. Clark was finally pouring out his heart to Lois and all she could tell him was that she only loved him as a friend. She had developed such a close relationship with him and hadn`t come to terms with how she really felt about him, yet she was willing to marry a man whom she wasn`t even sure she loved! Talk about a real emotional nutcase. I`m glad she got her head on straight soon after and realized how she really felt about Clark!
I was thinking that at first, but she loves Superman, has feelings for Lex and has went on dates with Lex, but she sees Clark as only a friend. She didn't realized she loved him until he admitted his feelings for her, Superman rejected her, and she was on the verge of marrying Lex. Superman had to move out the way for her to see Clark was standing there.
I like that later in season 2, clark does have the occasion to tell Lois that it's been hard for him to watch her being so attracted to Superman and litteraly rejecting Clark. (well she doesn't remember that later but still feels good to hear it).
Yes, and Clark returns the favor later when Lois decides to pour her heart out to him, and finally confess her love for him. That was even more satisfying, but Clark was cute about it. He crossed his fingers behind his back while telling Lois that he didn't really love her. lol
They probably didn't have the rights. L&C as a show, had a lot of problem s in that regard. A perfect example is Lana Lang. She was intended to be in season one, 'Green Green Glow of Home' but L&C couldn't secure the rights. So sheriff Rachel was invented instead. By the time Lana could be brought in, season 3, it was too late to impact Lois and Clark's relationship.
A bit of trivia briefly in the comics Clark Kent was a TV anchor. They thought it would make the comic more modern, but it was eventually changed back to newspaper reporter because they thought it made Clark 'too glamourous'.
Think is was cause Lois was lieing to herself and didn't know how to have a genuine honest relationship, think this was why she leaned more towards Luther in the beginning.
Man of Steel can withstand bullets, fire, probably a nuclear explosion. But the "let's just be friends" bomb pierces even his heart.
It really does :-(
@@Knight622ny you do realize you're replying to an 8 yearold comment, don't you?
@@jovanleon7 Why does it matter? What’s changed?
Yep! Heartbreaking!! 💔💔
@@jovanleon7So?
Poor Clark. His biggest rival is actually himself in a different outfit. He can't even fight the guy he's jealous of the most

The Friend zone has never been as painful

He got even later that night when he rejected her as superman
One of the realist moments in the show... I can relate to Clark even now!!
Lois:"What about us? What about partners?" Translation "What about the friendzone?"
I've been in the friend zone with every girl I've met, but they've never seen me without glasses
Clark is going to a place worse than the Phantom zone and thats the dreaded FRIENDZONE
Dude, I was going to say the same until I saw your comment. Well done, sir.
THIS COMMENT HHAHAHAHAH
😀😁😀😁
I'm just now noticing how good this series was.
I hope the new version is just as grounded
Respect and honesty comes before dating on mariage
awwwww! that hurts! lois was honest about her feelings with clark but lately she chose clark!
Respect Clark’s commitment to the Daily Planet, he’s write in modern design being superficial.
She loves superman
yea right Lois, Clark is hot as hell and sweet.
she fell for him as Superman first, then Clark.
Although we know the outcome, it still hurts deep
Friendzone has never been so painfull :(
heartbroken scene 🙊
Poor guy, Clark
He's in the friend zone.
Why didn't they use Can You Read My Mind as background music in scenes like this?

Teri is gorgeous ❤️
How many people raised their hands in this episode saying “PICK ME, PICK ME!”?
😍
He messed up, he was in the friendzone for so long he Lois didnt see him in any other light
Clark just got friend zone

Boys this is an example of hypergamy from woman
Bill knows nothing about Superman. You're taking the word of a psychotic killer regarding the greatest fictional hero of all time. Not a good idea.
