  • Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Fort Lee, NJ is a kaiten-zushi style sushi restaurant that uses automation, videos, and robots to make a fun dining experience. ‪@KuraSushi‬ is the second-largest sushi chain in Japan with a number of locations in Taiwan and a growing presence in the United States. Instead of ordering sushi with a waiter when you visit Kura, you watch as different plates of sushi glide past you on a conveyor belt.
Kura has a few feaures that make it stand out from other sushi train restaurants. First, is the table that sits above each table. You can order drinks, specific sushi (in case you want something that hasn't come along on the conveyor belt!), and dessert on the tablet, and even pay from it after you finish eating. But the real fun is what happens when you finish your plates. As you eat your sushi you place your plates in a little slot at your table, and they get vacuumed through and brought away for cleaning. As you insert your plates, your tablet will keep count of how many you've eaten. Once you get to five plates, a fun video will play, telling a story. After you finish 15 plates, you win a prize! The prizes are normally themed, and will dispense from a chute that brings the ball containing your prize right to your table.
The other fun quirk to Kura is the robot waiter that brings drinks to your table! KuraB the Kurabot will bring any cold beverage you order (as long as it's non-alcoholic) directly to your table. We heard KuraB's music all throughout our meal, as it brought drinks to diners all around the restaurant.
Interestingly, KuraB is not the only food robot in this shopping center! 101 Chicken, located just a couple doors down, serves Korean Fried Chicken made by a robot. We checked out that robot restaurant in this video: • Robot Fried Chicken PO...
The automation, robot waiter, fun videos, and of course-good sushi-make Kura Sushi a must-visit. If you're looking for a true dining experience and not just another place to eat, try out this entertaining sushi spot!
