    The younger crowd may know Jordan for the shoes and rings, but Allen Iverson was a freaken animal and willed his team to the finals.

      Actually, it's not "most will never". It's more like, "most can't". NBA have a clause in their contract to prevent them from playing in certain events to prevent injuries.

    • @adamani08
      @adamani08 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Kobe did it. Vince Carter did too. Several NBA players have. They just don't anymore.

    • @FredNewsome
      @FredNewsome 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is not true, Jordan instituted the love of the game clause in the CBA now players can't be prevented from playing pick up ball. These guys are basketball players it is actually less likely that they will injure themselves playing against subpar talent, with smaller bodies, where they don't have to exert themselves at all. Believe it or not these guys all grew up playing streetball, and they still do, but very few will come to Harlem Rucker Park on155th street across the street from the Polo Grounds to do so.@@que_creations

    • @orthotech9758
      @orthotech9758 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@que_creationsno they don't. During the off season they are allowed to work on their game and play competitively. The Drew League is one of the more popular leagues for NBA players.

      I remember watching him at Georgetown, and saying he was going to be one of the greats, then I saw Vince Carter at UNC and knew he was going to be a machine in the league as well, but the most proud thing I was right about was telling my friend after some kid from the Spurs came in to play the Rockets and looked like a smooth veteran in one of his first games in the league, and that was Tony Parker. He was slick when he was younger before Pop made him into a system guy

    1998 I was 20 years old and it was one of the most beautiful years of the earth's history and existence The NBA, street culture, hip hop, rap city, fashion, movies and TV, literally one of my favorite years of all time. 1998 I can't even lie I get sad just thinking about it when women were more approachable and not as stank and abrasive, they loved real dudes unlike the weird feminine beta males in skinny jeans they love now (twilight zone music On Cue) In terms of albums that hard knock life jay joint along with outcast, Nore, master P ,Pun , Peter gunz Lord Tariq, Mop, and of course DMX!!! I'm telling you really had to be there to understand NYC in 1998 I'm sure the whole country was dope but NYC back then had it's own identity, everyone in my humble opinion some how in some way have followed the trends of en why now it's pretty much lost it's touch and identity becoming very corny and weird trying to be like everyone else in the south and midwest, that was unheard of in my era.

      Rucker park saw Wilt than Dr J and than Allen Iverson play they had way more skills than Durant has.
      Durant shoots over people easily.
      Allen Iverson crosses people, does reverse layups, fadeaways and more.
      Dr. J has so many moves its more moves than fingers.
      Wilt did dunks there people never seen before him.
      Plus the dirk style fadeaway, finger roll like George Gervin before George Gervin even played his first Highschool game. Drop step and up and under.
      Fastbreaks he started and finished.
      Ruckers seen alot of Kevin Durant types but never seen another Wilt or Dr. J or Allen Iverson.
