This is the way it should be in every country. Young people should be given supports so they can learn to become experts to help the country and its people, everyone wins.

Making higher education affordable is essential for the future of the country. It's like subsidizing public transportation. Market economy ideology can do long term harm when carried to the extreme.

Honestly I think that's a good point but it has to be done the right way. I'm American and I love my country but the way we subsidize healthcare and education (and we spend a lot of money on healthcare and education) is really poorly done

@@arandomzoomer4837 The NY Times podcast the Daily (9/20) discussed "Is College Worth It?" in the US. The tide has turned that most American think attending college is a waste of time & money - especially among minority groups. Among whites, the right-wing is very much against college education. China & the US are drifting further apart about their attitudes towards higher education. As well, on CBS Lisa Damour talked about "chronic Absence" in schools: truancy gets worse even as the pandemic subsides. In general, Americans are down on education.

If u can pay a little bit more, u can actually have a much nicer dorm, or, if u can pay the ' foreigner price' u can basically live in a hotel-like dorm. But most student won't do that, most Chinese parents what their children to experience what was like went they were in the college.

    • @lisrlv1116

Foreigner dorm is in different building from chinese student dorm. There is no 'privilage' (one person/room or 2 person/room) dorm like in the foreigner dorm in chinese student building.
2 person /room is the minimum standart in foreigner dorm. But all chinese student must live in 4 person /room.
Of course the real rich student can live outside like in apartment near university. But usually they would require to live in the dorm at least in the first semester.

@Kizdo69 When I was studying in a university at NY, it was 6 to a dorm, with bathroom in the center as division. And that cost me 5k a year, the tuition was 36k a year but I got scholarships that covers about half of it. So the cost that this guy mention is extremely low and affordable to many people.
Fyi my cost was about a decade ago so it’s likely much higher nowadays

People are talking about the toilet more.. 😂 so i will just say this.. It is used from the ancient times in asian countries and it is proved to be more proper for bowel cleaning and more hygienic cause no skin touching..
And if people are thinking how you use it unlike westen toilet where the poop is collected until finished, we use water to flush off every poop 😂 (i have seen that its only for indian toilets). For the chinese and Japanese toilet they poop directly on the hole and then flush it..
