4 years in recovery soon, god willing. Thank you for holding the group in such high regard. Made me cry, it’s touching to hear us represented in a beautiful light through this song
131 days today but for the grace of God. I attend Celebrate Recovery, which is essentially AA but specifically for the Christian faith. ODAAT thank you Lord for everything 🙏 💖
Celebrate Hope Recovery Centers Hurts Habits & Hang ups Where Faith & Recovery meet. 🙌✨️ I am alive today by the grace of God & the help, support, fellowship & love I have received from CHC. One moment @ a time. We are all beautifully broken. God Bless you on your journey.
6/21/94 - a blender mixed with drugs & alcohol designed to end it all, and a shotgun on the couch with a round in the chamber and the safety off (that I had practiced dry firing for a month) if the drugs & alcohol didn't work. Then God sent angels with badges and guns to my door. After time in county, I met those men & women in the basement. I'm grateful for all of God's miracles and the tools He uses. This past June was 30 years of freedom from active addiction, thanks to those miracles God performs in those basements ❤
This is so beautiful; I cried. It was sent to me by my x husband. We met in AA decades ago, have a child together and though times have been rocky, the principles of our amazing, spiritual program, have guided us through over 30 years together, but apart, for God gave us a wonderful daughter. I joined the NO MATTER WHAT CLUB ! No matter what happens, we don’t pick up or use! Get to a meeting and figure it out later; being messed up will only make everything much harder ! Bless you friends
I heard this song for the first time today. It immediately reminded me of a wonderful ministry to the homeless and addicted and exploited in Boston mass. It’s a ministry called miracle Mile ministries. It is in the basement of a wonderful church that cares deeply about the people in its community and the pain and difficulties they endure in their lives. The church is called congregation lion of Judah. If you are ever in Boston you would greatly appreciate the ministry they offer there to those who are in this category
My bestie just shared this with me. This gave me tears!! I immediately pictured the underground church, secretly meeting to share the Gospel and encourage one another in the face of death and persecution. Believe it or not the fastest growing church is the world is the underground church in Iran. The Holy Spirit is moving mightily around the Middle East, and the “Upstairs”, aka America, can learn a lot from our persecuted brothers and sisters. Persecution is knocking on our door as we near His return.
Many people do not realize Mr Habedank has a brother close in age that struggles with addiction. I know he loves him very much and his addicted brother is so proud of joseph. I know his brother personally and I hope one day he gets sober for good and gets his life and family back. great song.
We actually were at the place where he Debuted this song and it was an immediate favorite. It is a strong song that a lot of singers likely would not be brave enough to share.
My husband and I and other members of my family have been workers at a Bible-based, local church addictions program called RU Recovery for the last 18 years. We have seen it countless lives saved and changed forever in our program that meets every Friday night...not in the basement, but in another building on our church property. This songs really resonates with me because every Friday night we hear the testimonies of how God has changed their lives and helped them break the chains of addiction. Thank you for this song!
I just got back from a his concert at church. He is absolutely amazing! He is so talented and touched by God. This song brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Joseph!
So glad I found this! 19+ years here and sharing your beautiful song with others in the rooms. It’s amazing how God works through people and allows our pain to give us purpose. You’ve certainly found yours!❤
God bless you and HIM for helping you with your struggles. Your testimony thru your music is amazing. It speaks to my heart no matter how many times I hear you sing ❣️
Hearing you singing this at Marengo last night, was so powerful! I thank God for where He has brought you from to where you are today. You give me hope for my brother. I firmly believe every trial we go through is there to teach us or help others. May God bless you.
You have been such a blessing, I listened to your testimony and it helped me out with a lot, and this song has meant so much to me, God is using you in a mighty way, keep up the good work brother in Christ.
Such a moving, beautiful song. 30+ years of recovery and faces in meetings washed over me listening to this song....I wept with gratitude!
Amen brother!
