Love these. One thing that always amazes me is how creators like us can make the same video with totally different ideas. Great job. I love the transitions and how you get straight to the point.
Yup! Same ideas but different final product. I like the way you do many of your videos. 😄 It makes the world more interesting and adds variety to the viewers looking for ideas.

A lot of things can't be made with ordinary classes where students have to remain seated, but I picked up the few that fit, thanks !
Really great and useful ideas, Eric! Thanks for sharing them 🙏🏻 I advise your videos whenever I can, as I'm no longer concerned...

Write numbers, names ,dates and some ticks and crosses for yes and no. Students guess the sentences they belong to. For example a tick,”You’re married.” Make it a competition for how many correct, or correct English, or a written exercise as a diagnostic or to practice the language.
Excellent advice Fiona! Thank you for watching Etacudes video's!
I'm teacher from Cameroon I love your icebreaker for the first day in school. Thanks so much u🎉🎉
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching! 🙏😊
Hey, I hope you have a great day! I have a question please. What are some tips to break the ice if we're teaching one individual?
Excellent icebreaking. Thank you sir.
You're welcome Cecep Durahim!

That was perfect
Thank you so much🎁
I loved all the games presented by you teacher eric but the one I was most interested in presenting to my students was the chocolate m.m
Usually the students like that one the most too, Mario! ☺
I am from Syria..I never teach befor but next week I will be a teacher for first time in my life....I need some advices from your experience
Good luck 🍀
I have some advice! Be prepared for the class, which means the time every activity will take, all the unknown words or doubts students might have and different ways/examples to explain the topic so everything is easy to understand
Best of luck 😘from Yemen
And advice can't be plural.
I love Syria and syrian people.
Such great comments from the community! 🥰
Stay focused on helping students and enjoy the experiences... We only get one first time to teach so have fun!
Be confident and dominant with some sense of humor, you will do great. Support from Algeria 🇩🇿 ❤️
cool! I liked the icebrakers SOOOOO much
So happy to hear, Cristina!
nice sharing
You're great!
Wow,,thanks so much eric, will be starting my teaching career on monday and i feel like am well equipped😊😊,however if my lesson lasts for 40 minutes what i can do to ensure that i balance both delivering the content and doing ice breaking activities?
Hi Electine - you'll want to break the class into chunks - do icebreaker, then teach concept or grammar, practice with students, give them activity to practice, feedback: students share what they've learned, play game to check understanding. I hope this helps!
#3 is definitely my fav as well! PS "Either/or" is better known as "Would you rather?" here in Canada!
Right! Should've just called it that. 😄
Thank you so much
You're welcome Uyen!
I hope you can make a video to talk about how to teach English grammar to kids. I’m quite confused that which way to teach it easily and effectively for kids. Because they’re too young to get a wide range of complicated grammar.
My plan is to make an entire series on teaching grammar next year. I'm still working on it and will require a lot of time. But I hope once it's done it can help a lot of teachers out there. 🙏
Thank you very much. Last year I used your activities about the first day of class and these activities were really helpful for me and exciting for my students. I am gonna use your new suggestions this year too 💕💕
I really hope your students enjoy the activities! And thank you for your support, Tatia! 😊🙏
thank you very much for your efforts and If you can make a video about how we can teach slow learners reading and writing i will be grateful
I'll definitely look it up. It sounds like a much needed video. I'm a bit busy on other videos that I have planned but will get to it in the next phase of planning! 😃
@@etacude thank you so much
Great ideas🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you, Sepideh! 😃
Please teach more games for online classes🙏
Hi Masoomeh!
I'm bringing out a video with online games to play with students soon! 😄👍
@@etacude Looking forward to watching it ❤️
I will try it, I hope these techniques help me 🙏🙏
Let me know Sayran Sagol!
Good Topic ✌️
What sort of ice breakers would you recommend for teachers starting at a new school on their first day?
For young learners try the M&M game. You'll have to buy a few small packets per group of learners ~ but they enjoy it.
For older students I let them interview, and introduce a partner. 😄
When I saw your videos I just tell you supérb.you deserve this honour
Thank you so much, Annapurna! 😊🙏
I will start my work from tomorrow as a teacher. From Uzbekistan, being teacher is difficult.
I'm from Egypt Liked your method but please talk slowly to understand what you say
😍😍😍
I heard m&m like eminem
Never put the students in lines according to their height. This may trigger some insecurities.
I understand, Saniyat. This is especially difficult for students that are either really short or tall, and other students might tease them about it.
But what should we do? We won't always be there to shield them from bad feelings. Instead we should see it as a teaching opportunity - explain to students that making fun of it may be hurtful, also help the student take control and improve their self image by teaching strategies to deal with it.
😄
I'd put 100👍s if i could
I really appreciate the one 👍 more than anything! 🙏
Honestly, maybe some of your viewer dont need explanation, they need a simulation.
Hi Ash!
I have done some videos in the past with students. For some of my videos, it's just difficult to find students that I'm allowed to film with. I'll try to show some more practical examples in the future!
@@etacude Yeah, got it. thank you mr.
The questions are no longer available!! :(((

Thanks🙏
mime an animal and be embarrassed why would someone do that?
Sometimes we have to let our guards down and have fun 😄
Hello Etacude, I like the presentation of your TH-cam channel!
Do you know any interaction networks for teachers with live discussions about teaching?
I recently started coaching and mentoring young adults and would like to share my experiences to learn new things myself.
Hi Shana! Sorry for the late reply. We have a livestream every Sunday at 1pm GMT where we talk about teaching. You are welcome to join!
