$1000 RC Cash Days - No Prep + More

- Delta RC hosted a big Cash Days event at the Contra Costa Fair Grounds. This winners take all, and with over 100 cars total the pot added up to over $1000. Bay area weather meant some unpredictable winds at the big end which sent cars flying thru the air at times!

Chongy that would be awesome. It’s quickly becoming a larger group every week. And with groups all over Southern Ontario. Once we are allowed to get people together then I can bet it’ll be a hell of a race day.

Ordered my Dr10 last night. I have 10 turn Tekin Gen3 laying around I will put that in there with some increased gearing it should fly.

A kid from San Jose made that XMAXX drag truck and sold it to that dude you saw with it. It use to have the soda can motor in it. It looked slower than what i know Of it. It use to hit 80+

When they crash, they crash horrifically! What camera equipment/lens ya think will capture RC drag racing?
I would have liked to have my zoom lens with me but the GoPro got it done well enough.

Wouldn't you want the steering stiff not so touchy ?
The appearance of a jittering or twitchy steering is most often cause by a difference in traction between the rear two tires.
Is the DR10 the way to go? Or Losi or Drag slash? I can only by one somebody let me know 😜
The DR10M seems to be the best out of the box way to go.
I dont see why they just dont put padding on the curb and maybe a tree. It will save totaling some cars

I mainly enjoyed the races, I never really competed. But I would like to go to more, just have to make an effort.

A tricky road plus some very gusty winds at times threw some of those cars around! Crazy stuff!
@@HarleyDesignsInc looked like a blast. Takin no prep to the extreme, gotta get your beast up and running. I'm workin on my second no prep rig and I've never even raced anyone, ha. I love the build more than the driving. The thing I don't understand is how people are not having to extend their chassees? I have had to extend my RC10 associated chassis as well as a losey 22A 5.0 chassis. It seems like others aren't having to do this but when I check the wheelbase on the 66 Nova body as well as these 69 Nova body I have had to extend the chassis between 30 and 40 mm

Yeah, between this and Badlands, I'm really disappointed in the people putting these events on right now. Stuff like this is why the numbers are rising, not falling. If we keep acting like the pandemic is over, it's gonna be years before things go "back to normal".
Seems like you can win most of the time simply by not crashing and staying in your lane.
You still have to be fast :) half these guys will win while sliding on their roof if you don't keep up!
@@HarleyDesignsInc this is a new area for me. I didn't know you could crash, shed pieces, and still win so long as [I guess the biggest part of the car?] still crosses the finish line first. That's really strange and doesn't seem as much like a contest of skill.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone lose any pieces before crossing for a win. The skill level is quite high on these, especially for setup and tuning. Most races are straight and fast.
U guys need to make a realay remote passing were you have partner with a second remote at the crossing at witch he takes over control only after the car has crossed this will stop all the recking on top end also make a transmission were at the strike it goes in to nutural real cars have converters that when at top end they let off the trans is not locked up to the gearing this keep the car from getting out control you guys are electric direct link your spooled up in power under gearing when you let off the power it's acting like a brake because of the ratio this y your recking this would save all this money in damages easy to make also cool. Hope this helps coment if you like to here more ideas I have I'm real world drag racer I see a lot things that could help in these to be better hit me up questions awsomness
The only brake these car has comes from the electric motor, so they have to stay engaged. Also added weight and mechanical fail points are something they try to limit. So adding other options would be difficult. The wrecks on the big end are pretty rough but it is also when they hit their top speed.
@@HarleyDesignsInc this y there crashing and looks like they could youse wait in apinion wait doesn't mean slow it means stability you guys don't have area or speed for down force but as long as those cars are locked up to motor to gear as they deselate at crossing strike they keep recking guess good for business just offering some insight on what I see cool

Depends on your skill as a driver and tuner.
Tricky roads like this play a part, even some of the best guys will have a hard time controlling in tricky conditions.

Technically it could run in outlaw but that is an anything goes class and nitro just wouldn’t be able to compete.
