    The fact that the US beat Canada in establishing privacy torts by several decades is embarrassing. Some provinces still don't even have it.

    can someone sue for intrusion upon seclusion if the act happened before 2012?

      only finding out about the act after 2012.

      @@keeff8195 You'd want want to consult with a lawyer in your jurisdiction. Statutes of limitations would likely bar a claim, but there is a concept of "discoverability" that may be applicable.
